UConn goes through its minutes where it doesn't look pretty, but I'll never understand teams like Tennessee that like to play these 53-48 type games.
 
Ugly is right. But after last year’s game my expectations are at rock bottom. That 5 second call was deja vu from last year when TX was totally inept at running a simple inbounds play. It looks like their first day of practice where no one even knows what play to run, whom to set a pick for or where to move.

Joyner Holmes back in action. Missed her first layup but not the second.

Tenn is fond of taking NBA 3s. And C Green has 2 fouls. Oy and Kamera Harris (who is not good) is in.
 
Despite all the missed shots, Texas somehow managed to score 23 points. Kudos to Audrey Warren, who for a while there seemed to be the only Longhorn who could hit shots. She’s the one who replaced Higgs in the starting lineup.
 
The first minutes were painful indeed. Bad shots, bad decisions all over the place. Then Joyner Holmes walks on, takes care of business, and Texas has a 9 point lead.
 
I will say, sitting here in the 5th row it’s really noticeable what an advantage Tennessee has in length at most positions except the 5.

Nice to see Danni Williams playing again. I always liked her at A&M. Tennessee players using free arm push off driving to basket. Nice if the refs don't care. So many athletes out there. So little coordinated effort.
 
How many layups and chippies missed by TX.

To say this game is a hot mess is an insult to hot messes.

Husky blue, check. More or less anyway.

I have no idea which side is camera side. Is that the team bench side?
