Tennessee 2025 season

Tennessee is just a very hard watch. I watched half the game last night, and it was just lots of cardio from both sides. If Stanford had a reliable 3pt shooter they could have probably won. Once a team gets over the shock of the high press and adjusts, the lack of organization is exposed.

I think Vanderbilt could beat this Tennessee team. I look forward to the SEC conference play.

Vandy beat them last year. Twice I think.

I kind of view their system like the triple option in football and why It's very popular at Division III and II levels but not at Division I level. It's a system that is easy to implement, takes advantage of the lack of athleticism from other programs, and requires great discipline/conditioning/teamwork to beat. That works at the lower levels but as soon you move to the top of Division I, then those flaws are less present in other teams since many of the kids that go to Division I schools are more athletic and more motivated to make a career out of basketball.

I will say this, that she is taking this experiment to it's most extreme at the highest level of women's basketball, so we'll all find out if it works, but I have my doubts no matter her record at non Power 4 universities.

Even more, how Coach does the starting lineup, basing it on performance. A new lineup every game. I have never heard of a coach doing not even in the rec league.

That is what I was thinking about when I made the statement about taking this concept to it's most extreme.
