him & Lowe are a good combo on the perimeter, Rick Brunson living that creeplife really messed up Dunphy putting together a great class.

Now we just need Tulane and East Carolina to bring up the rear and we could have a half decent conference from top to bottom.
Half Decent.

If Temple can capture and claim Philly/PA recruits they can easily build a Tournament team. This is a good get from that area.

Waiting for Tulane and East Carolina to improve is a waste of time. Better to root for SMU to sustain what they have (post Larry Brown), Temple to get back to being a perennial tournament team, and somebody from the Houston/Tulsa/USF group to put themselves in the tournament conversation from time to time.

Don't need every team to be good, every conference is always going to have trash programs, just have to have a solid core of 4-5 teams that you can depend on for getting a bid, and another 2-3 that are in NIT contention. This conf will obviously never be the BE, but there's alot of romanticism involved on here when discussing what the BE was during the 90-00s before the league became supersized. There were years when the league was only getting 4 bids.

I really don't think ECU under Jeff Lebo is that terrible...didn't they win 23 games and win the CIT?

That's not that good, but right now Tulane, UCF, and USF are the steaming piles IMHO

You don't need every team to be good but you'd really like every team to not be in the 200-250 RPI range. Those things are killers, especially if you play them twice a year.
We need our bottom-feeders to be bad, but not embarrassingly bad.

I imagine that's what Syracuse, Georgetown and St. John's said about UConn when it first joined the BE. They soon regretted that wish! Except Syracuse which is still in denial.

Thats a really good land for them looks like he had offers from a bunch of solid schools

He was all in when coach informed him he'll get a chance to play against UCONN.

So like Providence or St. John's bad, not Boston College bad.

USF might be decent next year if Anthony Collins can stay healthy.

Tulsa just needs to sustain their growth rate that Danny Manning began. Don't sleep on Tulsa.

Temple just got a commitment from a borderline top 150 big in Ernest Aflakpui. On paper this is probably Dunphy's best recruiting class since he took over.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this conference. It's so much worse for us that you almost forget sometimes it's a way, way better situation for a lot of these teams, and their recruiting will improve.

Hopefully we're watching what happens from a distance in some other conference.
