I forgot which game it was, but a court side reporter said that she talked to Imovbioh about what it's like transferring to a new school. One of the things Imovbioh mentioned was that she had several offers from D1 schools, but UCONN and SC were her best offers. Imovbioh doesn't seem like the lying type but maybe the reporter was confused... there is a language barrier.
Thanks!

Here's something I posted elsewhere on the subject. The best recruits from that class were outside the top 20. (Bear in mind that I posted this a month ago so the stats aren't accurate anymore):

25. Lindsay Allen, Notre Dame (9.1 ppg, 5.4 apg, 4.3 rpg, 2.3 A/TO ratio)
26. Kelsey Plum, Washington (27.3 ppg, 4.1 apg, 3.9 rpg)
27. Adriene Motley, Miami (15.9 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 2.9 apg, 50.2 FG%, 40.8 3FG%)
28. Alaina Coates, South Carolina (12.9 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 1.7 bpg, 69.6 FG%)
43. Shatori Walker-Kimbrough, Maryland (17.8 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.3 apg, 2.1 spg, 54.8 FG%, 57.7 3FG%)
52. Nina Davis, Baylor (16.6 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.3 spg, 57.3 FG%)
55. Brionna Jones, Maryland (14.4 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 69.1 FG%)
69. Ally Disterhoft, Iowa (16.7 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 3.1 apg, 53.4 FG%, 36.2 3FG%)
74. Jessica January, DePaul (13.6 ppg, 6.0 apg, 4.9 rpg 2.4 a/to ratio)
80. Sydney Wiese, Oregon State (injured now but career 13.5 ppg, 4.8 apg, 3.5 rpg, 1.67 a/to ratio)
85. Brittany Brown, Florida State (10.4 rpg, 4.7 apg, 3.4 spg, 1.9 a/to ratio)
92. Alexis Peterson, Syracuse (14.9 ppg, 5.6 apg, 3.4 rpg, 2.9 spg, 2.4 a/to ratio)
Brionna Jones and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough were underrated.

Brionna is leading the nation, I believe, at .669 shooting. She also averages 9.7 rpg.

Shatori is a bit turnover prone, with 92 in 26 games, but she can shoot lights out: .564 overall, an insane .573 from the arc that leads the nation, and .798 from the line.

I'm not a Maryland fan but I do like high-percentage shooters.

In the four games I've seen Plum play this year, she has not shown me a lot. Yes, she can put up lots of points and has a nice outside shot and good range- but only when she's not well-guarded. She forces up tons of bad shots, she's ALL left-handed, she lacks top-guard quickness, and she is not a good defender (she's 'soft').

She's the kind of kid who will have great career offensive NCAA numbers but will struggle mightily to have any chance of a professional career. (I think.)
Yes. Well as Coco said most successful COLLEGE career. I've no reason to doubt that analysis. But that Jackson lady is something special. It's a shame she never went to a program with a higher profile.

You do know that Nigeria is an English-speaking country, right? You are also aware that Virginia is referred to as one of the "Public Ivies" for its academic excellence, right? Perhaps you meant that the reporter was not fluent in English.

I'm aware of both. I meant what I said. Also, just because you speak the same language doesn't mean you're aware of every single intricacy and colloquialism in that particular dialect. There are differences between American English and British English.. oftentimes just as simple as particular words used to describe certain things. That's an example of a language barrier, a minor one at that.

With Nigeria being a former British colony there are even subtle grammatical differences in SPOKEN Nigerian English and British English. English is the official government language in Nigeria, but it's not the FIRST language for a lot of Nigerians. There a lots of quirks and expressions we use in American English that a non-native speaker just will not pick up on unless being told, that's also a language barrier.

No idea what UVA has to do with your point, but I'm aware of their Public Ivy status as well.

The chances of her coming to UConn are less than your chance of winning the multi-state Mega Lottery and only buying 1 ticket. She's not coming to Storrs!!

Fear not, there are plenty of D-1 programs that others have already suggested in this thread, that would gladly send a limo to South Bend to pick her up, and welcome her (or anyone else they think would help their program) with open arms, even if for only 1 year. Remember, a lot of coaches are not as picky as Geno. Even decent bigs are in limited supply.
Carnac- u r correct- but that limo ain't pointed to Storrs.

Yes, these always a chance. Stranger things have happened. That being said...............Based on the things we've heard Geno say during his numerous interviews over the years on the type of players he likes, and the qualities he looks for in a potential recruit, I'd be shocked if he offered Reimer a scholarship (even more schocked if she accepted). Shocked to the point of needing immediate medical attention.

There is less than ZERO chance that Geno would take reamer on - why, lots of reasons, but Numero Uno is Muffet McG and the increasingly strange relationship they have. Why drop this into it and for what. Not to confuse, she could be Number 1 at her position and he wouldn't bite.

I was being facetious. It's hard not to inject some humor in to this because the thought is so laughable. I don't know who gave birth to this possibility anyway. Probably someone with a very vivid imagination, or a very twisted and sick sense of humor. Trust me, we are of the same mind on this one. ;)

That does not exactly narrow it down!
