Hysterical they have Ike in front of Zubi & Tarris. I've yet to watch him play against a good team and do much. Back 3 of top ten all frosh.

Tarris is going to have some fun head to head matchups this year as a number of top 5's on this list: Zubi, Bidunga, Ivisic.

Cannot wait for CBM to graduate already. Dude will be 26 in Jan, ridiculous. Richie Saunders is the ripe age of 24.

Apparently Painter talking some smack already saying this team has best chance of winning it all.

He was horrible defensively. Layup drills when he was in isolation.

Yeah, he was that bad. And it's why anyone thinking Solo is likely going to get drafted this year, think again. There is a high probability he's back for his senior year. It's easy to get drunk on his 3 pointers if you don't see the gaps in the rest of his game.

It's also good we have some insurance policies this year in the event his defense doesn't improve - we had zero last year. We'd put Mahaney in there and get even worse defensively. Not to say he doesn't get significant minutes at the two because of his offense, but it's always great to have insurance just in case. We can play Silas or Mullins there under certain rotations.

I expect his D to be better and with his spectacular shooting and offense he belongs on the page but time will tell. One of the top guys on a top 5 team.

Skies the limit for TR. I'm stoked to see what he puts out there this year. He's capable of being the best center in the country if it all falls into place. Head to head against the best center in the country last year (Zubi), he outplayed him.
 
I get the whole "defense" thing but this is nerd ball. There are not 108 players better than Solo Ball. Full Stop. Luka doesn't play defense either. There are a bunch of elite players who don't play defense. And at the college level Solo Ball is an elite offensive weapon. Through the first 15 or so games of the season he was in the high 40's in 3 point percentage on around 7 attempts a game. That is absurd. And he's only expected to get more versatile on offense. I'm not looking to Solo Ball for defense. I expect Braylon and Silas to lead the charge in perimeter defense. Solo just needs to shoot the cover off the ball and get to the rim at a higher rate. Defense schmefense
 
Reibe is getting quite an education trying to defend in practice! Hope Reibe is honing his offensive skills as well

It's not just defense. He doesn't attack the rim, doesn't draw fouls, doesn't rebound and doesn't pass the ball very well. He's a really good shooter from 3. So far, he's not a very complete basketball player. I truly hope that changes, but he's no Ben Gordon.

He actually attacked the rim last season…he unfortunately ended up on his ass after being knocked to the floor most of the time He has the body…needs to be on his feet.

I think most of this isn't due to ability. Also in college, there still isn't 108 players better than Solo Ball. He was a top 10 player in the BE last year. If you just do the power 5 that's at least make him to 50-75. At the very least.

Yup. There are something like 1800 D-I starters, and he was in the bottom 20%.

Defense is a pride thing. Hopefully that embarrasses him into showing up on that end.

He was much better late in the year. And he has got the eye of the tiger. The kid wants all the smoke that comes with being an alpha Husky.
 
BTW Solo was the only Sophmore to make an all BE 1st or 2nd team. Everyone else was a junior and above. He is not the 109th best player in the country. That's lunacy

To double down only 7 out of 50(14%) all conference power 5 teams were Sophmore or younger

There's a legitimate argument to be made that Solo Ball was the best and definitely one of the best sophomores in the country.
