Actually merger was fantasy, strategic partnership is a lot more grounded reality. That could take multiple forms
and if done right could be mutually beneficial. If you think of this as war an alliance with a small country minimally prevents your enemy from that same alliance. What’s in for the B1G is the SEC could make that same alliance and they’ve got a toe in New Jersey , Pennsylvania and Maryland.
