What I was trying to say, Whale. . . .

IMO, Warde, as under the radar as he could - w/the assistance of an uninquisitive Horde - essentially has hired a coach in waiting. Exact same scenario as Holgorsen at WVU except AD didn't announce the hire.
Question:
Does Warde hire, or does the head coach hire the assistants?

I frequently read that Warde is making these decisions but have always been under the impression that the head coach chooses his staff.

Does anyone know this answer?

Not sure exactly, but I would guess that the head coach interviews who he feels he can ( and would like ) to work with. I then think he would have to bring this to the AD. Probably the AD interviews him and a final decision is made. Just my thoughts, I have no proof this is how it happens.

When I started this thread, I did not make any comment to TJ Wiest being a head coach in waiting. I just wanted to comment that he was incredibly professional, good personality and a sense of humor. From the very little I saw, I can definitely see him being head coaching material ( either here or somewhere else). Obviously myself or nobody else here can make a definite statement on how good of a head coach he would be. I personally am just hoping he puts a little life into our offense.
