I felt her comments were in poor taste. If she wants to avoid UConn then woman up and be better as a team.Legette-Jack is going off on the Committee for sticking her teams in Gampel year after year.
I feel her pain, but does she actually believe that South Carolina, Texas, or UCLA wouldn't trounce her team as well??Legette-Jack is going off on the Committee for sticking her teams in Gampel year after year.
We’ll see. When UNC played Syracuse in Durham this season, the Tar Heels won in overtime. Assuming Vandy beats ND, the ‘dores should give UConn a better game. But I still see UConn winning by 20+With the exception of Iowa, the #1 & #2 seeds are really showing their dominance over the rest of the field.
The games should be tighter in Fort Worth & Sacramento with more equal competition.
I get it, she probably looks at Virginia going to the sweet 16 and feels a little jealous. She probably thinks her team is better than the Cavs; but got screwed by an impossible draw.Legette-Jack is going off on the Committee for sticking her teams in Gampel year after year.
You’re correct but I’ve just got to say (though i imagine it’ll cause a semi uproar ) that the UCLA or UConn # 1 overall seed debate should now be settled permanently. Specifically, I think our Huskies (and the entire BE frankly) get a raw and unfair deal from the national media when disparaging and downgrading our schedule and saying how weak our conference is compared to the Big Ten. We played Iowa, Ohio State and USC this year, 3 B 10 headliners who were all in the top 10 at some point this season and two of which ( Iowa and Ohio State) were 2 & 3 seeds, and they were totally dominated by us and not competitive at all, just like most BE teams. Meanwhile UCLA, whom last we played in the final four last season as the #1 overall seed and also demolished, somehow gets accolades for dominating their conference while we get insulted and criticized for going unbeaten in the BE. And all 3 of those teams are now eliminated in the round of 32. Combine that with tonight’s total oembarrassment of a well respected ACC team (12 points in an entire half !?!) and it would seem to any fair unbiased observer that UConn is just that good and the BE is not that bad and that there’s no way to justify any discussion that UCLA should have been or deserved the # 1 overall seed in this tournament. With the exception of Iowa, the #1 & #2 seeds are really showing their dominance over the rest of the field.

I’m sorry to say but region 4 seeds 2 and 3 are extremely weak. We gotta do away with some of this bracketing rules. UCLA so much more difficult. With the exception of Iowa, the #1 & #2 seeds are really showing their dominance over the rest of the field.

I love how she runs down the court and the opponent thinks she’s at full speed, then she does a little hop and turns on the afterburners and you see how fast she really is.I’ve said this a few times over the past few games: I just love the way Kayleigh motors down the court in transition. Her focused movements, her aggressive stride, it’s really something. It’s like a challenge to opposing teams: “You want to run with us? Fine. Let’s run!”
If she grabs a defensive rebound and she’s got that gleam in her eye, it’s game on.
She played just as well in the first game.I thought Blanca had her best game of the year. Shot well....some very nice [and unselfish] passes....usual rebounding
and defense. I thought she showed much improvement in dialing it back [just a little] and played under control.
One concern...will she do something similar in the next 4 games? Uhh...once or more than once.? The quality of
the competition goes up...and I hope she pulls a great imitation of how she played tonight.
That is a weak excuse, and it probably is not the reason why. With a score difference as much as that was. She played in the first game. What was the difference?Fisher is a freshmen. Now is not her time. Her time to get some minutes will come next year, and more minutes the following year.
... and maybe she should avoid pregame quotes that say none of the players on Connecticut are special?Legette-Jack is going off on the Committee for sticking her teams in Gampel year after year.
I hear ya but considering the lame committee finds it convenient to bend over backwards to protect conference teams from playing each other in ANY early round (which was fine when their conference schedules had them playing each other twice or more with the conference tournament) when the super leagues of 16-18 only play each other 1 time, maybe the committee should rotate teams during these early rounds.I felt her comments were in poor taste. If she wants to avoid UConn then woman up and be better as a team.
I'll check out the Palms sports book tomorrow to see what they have posted. Just might put some $$ down on the Huskies.Vegas does not wait around. They have already posted the odds for Friday's game with North Carolina.
UCONN is favored over the Tar Heels by 27.5 points!

Still on the roster. But greatly diminished by injuries. Probably didn’t have the on court career that she imagined. Looking to go into coaching after this season I think. (This is her final year of eligibility.)(football fan here)
just curious, whatever happened to caroline ducharme?
i see her name is still on the roster but i haven't heard anything about her in a few years now
Wow! To this post game press conference. She is basically saying she is tired of playing Uconn and that Uconn is pretty much unstoppable...
good point, I just watched the Syracuse game (at 4am est) Did she even get in the game? I saw Patterson and Caroline but forgot about BIG FishThat is a weak excuse, and it probably is not the reason why. With a score difference as much as that was. She played in the first game. What was the difference?
