Unfortunately we are what we are. We will win 80% of our non-P4 games and lose 90% of our P4 games.

We are in a spot to win almost all of these games against the dregs of the ACC and always find a way to lose. Just where we are in today’s college football landscape.

As painful as it is, it is still better than where we were 5 years ago when we were a complete joke of a program.

Frustrating? Absolutely. But completely expected at this point.

I don't agree on this one. This was complete coaching malpractice.

Sitting back on miniscule 11 point lead is a shocking decision.

Also, the OT TD by Syracuse wasn't a catch. Why did they not review it?

Also, played game like they didn't think Syracuse could move the ball in our defense.

The malpractice was trying to shorten the game with over 6 minutes left, the defense was eventually gonna run outta gas, they were lights out for 3/4’s of the game, and I don’t think we can ever complain about calls playing an ACC team with ACC refs, we outplayed them and should of won the game going away

Honestly, I feel like the refereeing was so one-sided that the result is illegitimate. So many calls were missed, even if a few of them were accurate as well. Ultimately, not being in a conference is tantamount to not existing at all, because no one respects your narrative enough to treat you fairly. You watch yourself getting railroaded in real time, and it's like there's no awareness of what's going on because the only story that matters is the other team's story. What's the point?

Fagnano hadn't completed a pass since 2:50 was left in the 3rd quarter until the catch by Bell on 4th down in the final drive. He was 0-5 (all in the 4th quarter) on his way to 0-8 before the Bell catch. They ran the ball 8 times for 57 yards prior to the final 3 and out where they ran all three times; which seems to be the genesis of people's frustration.

I think I go for it on 4th and 5 or 4th and 6. It’s worth the risk, Cuse more then likely gets it to the 30 anyways.

The idea is incremental progression, with a target of showing some P4 conference that we can hold water. You are who you beat. That was a massive opportunity lost.

If beating Umass floats your boat, enjoy. No one gives a rats a other than UConn fans in a vacuum.

I’d go as far as saying winning that game on the road has more value than winning all the non P4 games combined.

Whenever the program looks like it has a bit of momentum something like this happens. This hurts even more because the game shouldn't have even been close and it's year four for Mora. At some point you actually have to close out these games instead of finding every way possible to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and this program is well past that point. Schedule was set up perfectly with an easy slate and three mid to bad P4 teams. This was just a crushing loss for the program.

I didn't like the tone Mora set early in this game when he punted when it was 4th and an inch. I just hate when you are the underdog on the road and you show cowardice like that. Show some toughness - it sends a message to the players too - and we were very likely going to convert there.
The poor throw to Hansen (i think) when he's wide open with no one near him was devastating as was Hansen (I think) dropping a wide open throw over the middle for a chance for a chunk play and moving the chains and tiliting the field.
Also the high throw by Fagnano to Bell where Bell has to jump in the air at the line and as a result gets tackled instead of making a positive play - Fagnano's accuracy is mystifying at times.
And that camera on their last touchdown showing the guy clearly bobbling the ball and it's not even reviewed - such BS. At least review it and entertain us.
We didn't just shoot ourselves in the foot, we blew the whole damn leg off.

This is our best roster in years. I'm so confused over this one. The offenses inability to move the ball from the plus side of the 50 to the 35 basically cost the game. Besides those 15 yards on that side of the ball we were trouncing them
 
Could not believe how slow Joe was when forced out of the pocket. Looked like he had concrete shoes. Never a hint of a running threat. Could not move quick enough to evade anyone in the pocket.

If we played them 100 times, we would win 50 and they would win 50. That’s much better than the situation a few years ago. There are no moral victories anymore, but the trajectory for UConn football is still up and that’s key.

This team should beat them nine times out of ten. We were that much better than them for the vast majority of the game

Mora isn't the problem. If you believe he is, then you haven't been following UConn Football very closely...

He put together a roster that isn't that much better than ours (if it even is better). Maybe he should be the one running.
