Syracuse is an awful, awful team!

The former Eastern independents have really good teams... Syracuse, Boston College, Miami and Penn State all completely suck. Miami might be the worst of the lot.

Don't forget MD. Losing to William & Mary & Sally

When I am seeing posts like this on the Orange site, I know it was a legit penalty:

If we can only eliminate some incredibly dumb mistakes (Lyn pushing the guy when he was clearly going out of bounds, etc.) we'll win some games this year.

it wwasnt the refs. it was the "backwards pass" to smith and yes the "late" hit

Keon does that crap all too often, He just lost the damn game for f0 other players. This team is altogether too undisciplined.

The late hit call shouldn't have been called but it was still an absolute boneheaded decision by Lynn to pursue it.

5 years ago, pushing a guy that was right at the sideline was not a penalty. It has been for the past few years.

Well I'd hope going down a couple of TDs would not cause us to turn on our team.
We've won games and competed for conference championships and had a good portion of our boards turn on the team/coaches. Lots complaining we need to win with more flair, gotta throw the deep ball more.

Nope. They have undeniably gotten tougher on late hits over the last few years, but that wasn't close. It was neither late nor a hit.

We'll have to agree to disagree Guvnah! Cheers!

There is actually a thread on their board where they say that based on the second half and the Big East results over the first week that there is no reason they cant "run the table" in the conference.

Sara should have beaten NW by two scores, but failed miserably. With that said, that late hit call was a joke. I'm sure the fans at Toledo feel a lot of sympathy for Sara tonight.

Syracuse is not an awful team and Nassib may be the best QB in the BE.

That said, they lack athletes as evidenced on specials and defense. They may very well miss a bowl again this season while having a very good QB in his last year.

USC could get real ugly.

Since when is losing to Northwestern by 1 make you a bad team? NW is a pretty decent team. I would be talking smack about Pittsburgh losing yesterday more then Cuse losing in a shootout.

Um, No. The U beat the Thunder Chickens, so the nomination goes to the denisons of 'Nut Hill.

Outside of the top 4, the B1G is nothing special, and Northwestern is mediocre at best. Cuse was home. They better hope Nassib stays healthy.

Cuse pretty much gift wrapped 2-3 TD's for the 'Cats. Nassib threw it all over the place and looked good bringing them back, but NW secondary was unbelievably bad. Some of those big plays are either incomplete or INT's against even an average secondary. Cuse is staring down the barrel of a 2-4 win season. Stony Brook, Minnesota, Pit, and Temple being there mot realistic chances. I can't wait to see UConn make it 6 in a row.

BC was beating Miami 14-0 then. As of this morning, Pittsburgh might be the worst. They all suck though.

I do not understand the negative assessments of Syracuse here. They looked pretty good yesterday. Much improved offense. Nassib can throw and Sales can catch. OK NW's secondary sucked. But Syracuse didn't give up and almost pulled it off. I wish UConn threw the ball as much as against UMsss Syracuse did.

Because that NW team will be lucky to win two games in the Big 10+whatever. Cuse looked like the better team and, they still lost...at home. Nassib was solid, but the opposing defense was not very good.

Because the result in our game would have been less in doubt? Sheesh.

How do you come up with contorted thinking like this? Not because more throwing would have changed the outcome of the game but because it would have confirmed that this team is finally developing a real passing attack, something missing for quite a while - or haven't you noticed? Sheesh.

PP didn't want to open the playbook too much.

I agree with this. I think that the play calling was following a designed script. Mostly vanilla, except for the rare "ridiculous" play (like the reverse-throw to Griffin). It was as if to say, "We want NCState thinking about the following things..." If it works, then great. Perhaps NCState prepares for a heavy dose of running up the middle and wildcat, and maybe we use those things very sparingly when we play them. I guess we'll know in a week...

think they threw a lot because they were down 3td s in the middle of the 3rd quarter.

Are awful and have been awful for a while. And yet, they get the invite to the ACC go figure.

Why are you surprised? If any league covets awful football, it's the ACC...
How'd the Big East fare this past weekend? Wouldn't be so critical of the ACC until we see how next week and the week after go.
