Syracuse almost lost to a D2 team tonight

No team I want UConn to beat more than the University of Syracuse.

Yeah, I did a little digging in the meantime. Turns out the rules were established in 2005, and a team is allowed any combination of secret scrimmages and exhibition games up to two games. I was surprised to hear that this has been the case for 17 years, as I first heard of secret scrimmages last year.

I only watched their highlights, but geez I don’t think they’ve ever heard of boxing out before. I get it’s the zone but still… And their so called savior center jesse Edwards looked slow and soft. We would have an absolute field day with them in the post and on the boards.

JB always puts together a serviceable team that can usually make the tourney and win a couple of games. I never bother to bash him. He’s one of the greats, even if that’s only gotten him one natty.
 
Their roster this year is repugnant. I think they will be one of the worst P5 teams. They need Judah Mintz to look like a 1 and done and Benny Williams to look like an All ACC caliber player to even barely make the dance. Mintz is rated lower than Diggins. Williams got tons of opportunities last year and put up 1.9 ppg. Good luck fellas!

He’s the ultimate baby. No doubt he quits on the team mid season. This feels like the year he does it.
