Just trying to clarify here… when they talk about class of 2028, they are referring to the start of their college freshman year, right? That means she’s a 2027 hs grad, which makes her a sophomore now?

Since she’s Class of 2028, that means the 27-28 season will be her Senior season in HS and the 28-29 season will be her Freshman season in College.

24-25 (current), Freshman
25-26, Sophomore
26-27, Junior
27-28, Senior

No! That's not what it means. It's the year of graduation.
I’m pretty sure it is meant here as when they arrive, but I want to clarify it. For example, Fisher and Gandy are listed as 2025. That’s for when they’ll arrive. I guess it’s also when they’ll graduate hs, but lots of kids reclassify.

Lots of kids do NOT reclassify! As I stated earlier in this thread, please name five (5) female basketball athletes that have done so and are starters at their D1 level college? And, Fisher and Gandy are in the "class of 2025" because that is when they will graduate from high school. It has nothing to do with college enrollment.

I can’t even name 5 on the men’s side, but I know it’s done there.

you graduate high school the same year you enter college! graduate HS in the spring and enter college in the fall...
Not necessarily! One has nothing to do with the other! When it is stated "class of ..." it is referring to the year of graduation!

Could someone lock this discussion please!
