Given her age would not be shocked to see a reclassifying to class of 2027
Which may explain the purported “urgency”
Regarding recruiting
Sydney "Bean" Douglas was born on September 16, 2008. She
is, of course, now listed in Husky Nan's Class of 2028 Players of
Interest. Notice that Jordyn Palmer, another UCONN POI and
on Husky Nan's Class of 2027, was born on November 6, 2008.
(two months younger).
This gives one pause to think! Consider this: Kaleena Smith, who
has an "OFFER" from UCONN (as does Jordyn Palmer), plays
on the same team as "the BEAN". Could they "go" to college
the same year? To the same TEAM?? Who would like to
PROGNOSTICATE the possibilities.!!??

Wrong Ontario - not the Great White North, the other one out on the left coast.
Ontario... as in Ontario Christian School, Ontario, CA. The "Bean's"
hometown, according to the UCONN POI list for the Class of 2028,
is Los Angeles, CA. Have you ever been in Poland, ME.; Mexico, ME.
or Paris. ME.? They are all in my current home state of ME = Maine!!
Don't get me going as to what state "NEWARK" is in!!

If this girl was truly born on September 16, 2008, does anybody know WHY this 17 year old is a high school freshman and not a junior or senior? Did her parents hold her back (2 years) for some reason other than perhaps the obvious?

Even during dead periods, most communication is still allowed. Coaches can still email or text or talk on the phone with recruits. The only limitation is that there can be no face-to-face contact.

This is different from quiet periods, Weir face-to-face contact is allowed on the schools campus.
Thanks for the clarifications. It’s all to complicated for me.

Background data source: try Googling: FIBA Sydney Douglas (USA) - basketball stats, height/age. It should come up with: Sydney Douglas Date of Birth Sep 16, 2008 and have her height as 196 cm / 6'5".
I have also previously found her birth date at: The Home of FIBA Basketball - News, Stats, Games, Results, Calendar & Events | FIBA Basketball
players/343203-sydney-douglas but this link appears no longer to work. I
check both links this AM 1/10/2025 I hope it works for you! Z
I just retried the search. It worked with small letters for fiba and sydney
douglas (usa) - basketball stats, height/age. I don't believe that the CAPS
really make a difference here.
There is also a news article from CalHiSports.com from November 28,
2024, entitled "THE BEAN IS BORN". It describes Sydney as a 15-year-old 6'6" freshman. The paragraph with the information is (approximately) # 15 in the article. It says that she got the name "BEAN" because "Sydney Bean" rhymes with " kidney bean"!! The article is interesting about how is chose ONTARIO
CHRISTIAN as her H.S. Maybe like SARAH or ICE? Not to mention BUCKETS??

Better check your date. She's only 16 and doesn't turn 17 for 8 months.

Yep, my error! However, that still means she will be a 19 year old high school senior, so it doesn't really change the scenario much. Around 5% of high school seniors are 19 at graduation.
