I picked Cuse.
Hate is a strong word.
I don't really " Hate Them "
I just Wish them the Worst.

DUKE is a Team I actually HATE and prolly should have Voted for

I was gonna make this point last night but I was too tired and figured someone else would do it for me, lol. So thanks.

Boeheim is a great coach and I have a ton of respect for him, even though I hate Syracuse more than any other program.
Wow...so the whole covering up and enabling a pedophile doesn't alter your opinion of him?

Are you claiming Jim Boeheim is not coach? Because the Hall of Fame, along with most people who know anything about basketball and a whole lot of wins would disagree with you. I have been a UCONN fan my entire life; but I don't understand why that means I am supposed to hate Jim Boeheim? I honestly miss Syracuse and Jim Boeheim, I miss playing them every year. If I have to hate a school then it's Kentucky; and it's not even really the school, it's their glorified aau coach

Jim Boeheim could be the most overrated coach of all time. My good friend is a Syracuse alum who works for ESPN and even HE thinks that.

This is a low blow. I don't know what (if anything) Bernie Fine did, but implying Jim Boeheim is the same as Joe Paterno is pretty ignorant and shameful. I've never blocked anyone before, but you're the first. Congrats.

Nothing defensible about what Joe Paterno did, but he paid the price for his actions more ways than one.

When the accusations first came to light in the early 2000s, the Syracuse administration conducted an internal investigation and kept all news of it out of the press. This occurred while the Statute of Limitations was still in effect and Bernie Fine could have been prosecuted, if charges had been brought to the proper officials.

When the accusations come to light a couple of years ago, the first thing Boeheim does is hit the news and absolutely blast the victim in the news. Then the tape recording of Mrs. Fine comes out that supports the accusations and in short order Fine is fired and Boeheim makes a half baked apology. The Chief of Police states that the evidence was credible and a criminal charge would have been pursued if the events had occurred within the Statute of Limitations.

The honorable thing for Boeheim to do would have been to resign at that moment. The fact that he has stayed on and acted as if nothing has happened is disgusting. He was the Head Coach when the abuse occurred against Ball Boys, who should have been under his protection, sometimes in hotel rooms while on official Syracuse trips, paid for by Syracuse funds. How anyone can think Boeheim has no responsibility in this matter is mind boggling!

I'm somewhere down this road, too. The whole situation, and how it was handled, left me with a bad perception of Boeheim and the Syracuse program.

Boeheim is an outstanding coach, just doesn't have the success in the postseason that our beloved Huskies have. We've had our share of issues, but it seems like there have been even darker and more disturbing things going on under Boeheim's watch.

For me it's between Duke and Kentucky. Duke for their elitism and the media like Dickie V. who kiss their feet, and Kentucky because of Squid and having to hear every year about their recruiting classes and how they're gonna win it all. If Squid wasn't there, I wouldn't hate Kentucky, but until then, my vote: Kentucky.

The thing is, we've owned both programs head-to-head in the NCAA's the past 16 seasons. Duke to me is an after thought, except the media love. However, there is no coach I dislike more than The Squid.

the sole mention of UConn in the posts was from one loser who went to school in RI and finds CT worthless

Like huskies4ever Duke is no longer "hated" we just beat them. We don;t really get to have much communication with their snobs…….errr fans so it's not like the Cuse where we know how they are.
It's Cuse in a landslide for me……..they wandered into enemy territory a few years back and their fans are the most ignorant in the game!

I voted Kentucky, and it's because of Calipari. Would have been Duke 10 years ago, not any more. Don't feel anything about Syracuse, and don't mind that we're not playing them either, except that I think playing their zone helps prepare you for the tourney.

.-.
BC, for me. They were super-obnoxious when we played them, they've been worse since, AND I live right near BC, and their students all belong in prison.

Here are the results. Yes, CT hates Syracuse most, good job. And Mass hates BC... hahahaha!

At first I said it had to be one of Duke or Kentucky, but seeing as they seem to be our good luck charm..... I'll probably go with Syracuse. Those two are just responsible for too many wonderful memories.

.-.
As was pointed out on Reddit: We're not hated because we single-handedly stopped 2 Duke and 2 UK titles in the last 15 years. We are everybody's second favorite team.

The whole Cuse thing, especially since they helped kill the BE, has definitely changed. Not a rivalry based on head-to-head competition, but more like two siblings battling it out to get the better grades. Who'd have thought Flag Blue shines so much brighter than Orange.

Bazz, Kemba & Oak were not Melo when they walked on campus. Our guys have developed and, almost always (sorry Rudy) been motivated
Weird that a non motivated kid would have for sure come back for his junior year if Calhoun hadn't made him go due to his draft status.

I don't think it's a low blow. Have you ever listened to the tapes? It makes my skin crawl.

Do you really think that the kid went to the head of the Syracuse Police in 2002 and the police didn't mention to Jim Boeheim that one of his assistant coaches had been accused of sexually molesting a boy? Go to 1:54 of this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYmAhbCSpDg#

Boeheim admits he head about the accusations before. The police buried it and obviously didn't investigate it enough (probably because Boeheim told them to). As the head coach of the team he should have looked into it further. ESPN also had the responsibility to investigate it further when they originally received the tapes and they also failed.

Whether you think Boeheim had any knowledge of this is just conjecture, I certainly can't prove it, but I don't think it takes a leap of faith to think he failed in protecting the kid. To me it's just another example of a big time college coach putting the program ahead of right and wrong.

As far as which college basketball team I hate the most it's B.C.

So you think Rudy was really motivated during his stay at UCONN? That is an acceptable opinion.
Your proving how motivated he was by saying he "would" have come back if JC didn't "make him" go to the NBA, is just sad.

How is it sad exactly?

BC. Their fans have nothing to be so pompous and obnoxious about. Cuse and Duke fans can be awful, but at least they have programs that have won titles and sent a number of guys to the NBA. If your school's never even been to a Final Four and has an absolutely pitiful track record of developing pro talent, you shouldn't even bother opening your mouth. Why BC fans seem to disregard this, I have no idea.

BC sucks the Harry Wong.
