Illinois went away from Kofi for like 10 minutes-15 minutes which was a huge mistake
Their guard play has been non existent but this game totally exposed Kofi’s limitations. Krutwig is such a bad matchup for him, brings him away from the paint and is an incredible passer. That’s been the difference in the entire game is the bigs for Loyola getting the ball at the elbow and everyone else cutting off that

Can the Big East replace DePaul with Loyola Chicago?
Not sure you are going to want that after Loyola graduates the 6 seniors on this roster unless they decide to come back?

And Kofi isn’t up to it.
He’s immobile on defense
Kofi also got used by Krutwig on defense 1 on 1

All that being said, Kofi has been the best player for Illinois, 21+9 , making free throws

Loyola led from start to finish and never really felt threatened.

Illinois was not prepared for this game. Didn’t even reach 60 points as a 1 seed in the second round. Totally murked and laid a turd

That (Loyola Chicago) is what happens when a well coached game goes in with a proper game plan and executes it.

Baylor looks good. Thought Wiscy would give them fits.

There is a big gap between Gonzaga/Baylor and everyone else. With all the upsets, it makes it more likely that Gonzaga and Baylor will have deep runs.

Today we join hands with our friends from West Virginia...and hope for a thorough squashing of the Orange. May the goony guy in the coonskin hat have a celebratory day.

Does he still run around the sidelines with a rifle or is that taboo now??

I hate to say this, but Boeheim has done a good job with this team. They looked like wet dog against Bryant, and I thought they might win 10 games this season after that game.

Syracuse has shown a lot of improvement. They don’t suck.

That’s the thing they got better as the season went along we didn’t.

I'm done watching this year tournament if Cuse wins. I knew they'd have a run when I read all the obsessive posts about them on here all year exaggerating how bad they were.
