Parity in WBB?

Season 4 No GIF by The Office

Toledo and FGCU were the biggest upsets so far, but I don't think either were all that shocking.

Nice shout out by Bella Alarie. Gotta hope some WNBA team will find a roster spot for her this season.

after watching these 2 Vtech games yea it's safe to say they are definitely worthy of that 1 seed. Good for them, Kittley is a monster who is gonna cause chaos, her matchup vs Uconn bigs will be fun if happens.
I thought Virginia Tech looked pretty bad in both games. Kittley is the smallest 6’5 player I’ve ever seen. They do have a strong core three but there is a big drop after that. If San Diego State was able to knock down their wide open point blank layups that would have been a close game all the way through.

I think Baylor and both potential sweet sixteen match ups are worse match ups for UConn and I’d be surprise if Virginia Tech made it past Tennessee.

She retired last year to persue other stuff. Is she pulling a Tom Brady?

Va Tech won’t have a match for Rickea Jackson.

And their length on the perimeter will make it really hard for their guards to shoot over. And Hollingshead will make Kittley have to play bigger than normal because that weak fadeaway won’t fly against someone that long.

.-.
Michigan getting outplayed by Baylor EDIT: LSU (lol) right now.

Princeton keeping it respectable.

so u thought a team that doubled their opponents was bad? Oof no wonder we get many people complaining after Uconn wins by only 8

Princeton has me hanging my head against the wall. So many missed buckets. They’d be leading by now otherwise. Sigh.

Flipside, Utah is a very good 3 point shooting team who can't hit a 3 today, they have a ton of TOs, and quite a few missed FTs, giving up a bunch of O boards...yet still leading the whole way. One could argue they should be ahead by a lot more.

Honestly, has anybody been better in the Tourney so far than Pili? Averaging 30 pts/ game shooting probably 80% from the floor, close to 10 reb/game, pretty darn stellar.

Well, let's compare just games today. Even just looking at these stats she near tops the charts. Obviously Clark gives her a good run for her money. (Ignore the MIN column for Pili, it's not updated yet on ESPN for some reason.) Updated.

Alissa Pili - Utah (vs. Princeton)

Other notables:
Angel Reese: 29 points, 19.5 rebounds, 4.5 blocks, 3.5 assists, 3 steals
Caitlin Clark: 24 points and 12 assists per game

Stanford down 9 at the half to Ole Miss, and that's with Brink playing today. Stanford with 12 TOs and they are being out-rebounded by 9, including 12 O-boards from Mississippi.

Stanford is too soft so far. Ole Miss shooting above their heads so plenty of opportunity for Stanford to pull it together.

No team has lost on their home court. All 1, 2, 3, 4 still going. This is a boring tournament.

I watched a bit of the Notre Dame: Mississippi State game. An exciting mud-wrestling contest. Miss the basket, slog down the court and miss another basket.

Please, can we have some real basketball tomorrow.

That was my first time watching the Utah women play. Ever. Pili is a beast in the lane but Princeton did a pretty good job defending the Utes. The Tigers just didn't have enough shot-makers.

Pili and Reese battling in the lane will be something.
