I am hopeful but concerned with both games today. I really want UConn and MSST to win but I think both games are a toss up. Will be watching with a great deal of apprehension. Good luck to both my favorite teams!

I can't imagine Geno not getting them to the Final 4. I would put my money on UConn.

I'm not really sure about State. We haven't played anyone of Oregon's stature since. . . . Oregon. The talent is there, but we haven't proven we can beat an elite team.

Wow...KLS has been on fire. UCONN really needs her. She came through today.

.-.
Louisville on a 10-1 run over the last 100 seconds.

Difference in this game has been Durr, who's having an off night - missed free throws down the stretch, 7-19 shooting. If she were her usual self, I don't see the Huskies escaping this one, because the rest of her team really stepped up. The only way you beat UConn is if you're firing on all cylinders, and LV was a cylinder short. Tough way for her to end her last collegiate game.

UCONN ends the careers of Asia Durr and Sam Feuhering to advance to their 13th Final Four in a row, 80-73. After the handshake line, Jeff Walz waved to the crowd. A silent farewell? Or simply a sign that he'll be back next year?

Louisville will take a step back next season.

Don't know which team to root for. Cazorla and Howard are 2 of my favorite non-UConn players.

.-.
3 point shooting: UConn 14-26 Louisville 4-22. The Cardinals did a heck of a job keeping this game somewhat close given the huge difference in shooting from distance.

As I suspected, UConn being a #2 seed didn't make the slightest bit of difference in the end.

Erin Boley was pretty bad with the airballs in the South Dakota game. Will be interesting if she improves in this one.

My congratulations to UConn. It's easy to say "I think they'll lose because they've had vulnerabilities lately" but one thing I learned is that the previous game often has nothing to do with the current game.

I didn't see that Katie Lou Samuelson performance coming, I must say. And that's why you can never count them (her) out.

..

I spent all this time making the point that Oregon's first win over Miss St. was not a fluke.

So Ducks, I am going to need a better effort from y'all!

.-.
Different version of McCowan today than the first meeting.

It seems like Mississippi St. is dominating the glass but according to ESPN box score it's about even.

This game is fascinating. Such different styles. Ionescu making a claim for NPOY

Also a different version of Ionescu today, she couldn't hit anything from the floor the first meeting. Sabally has come to play today.

Good back and forth battle so far.

Both teams red hot. Who's gonna blink first?

.-.
We're almost at halftime and Oregon has 0 FTs so far. Hmm.

edit--MSU has been called for 1 foul. In 20 minutes. That is utterly ridiculous.

Watching the MSS-Oregon game and McCowan continues to show some of the worse body language I've ever seen in a program of this caliber, especially when MSS is behind. This is every game.

I haven't watched every game, but I'm thinking this the best game of the Tourney I've seen so far.

MCCowan dominating the boards, Oregon living by the 3, hope they cool off.

We're almost at halftime and Oregon has 0 FTs so far. Hmm.

Yeah there was just a play where the MSST guard rode Cazorla dribbling up the floor and nothing was called. Cazorla who never shows much emotion was clearly frustrated.
