Sunday games ("Rivalry Week")

A really bad sequence for State there: Cunane picks up a rather cheap 4th foul going for an offensive rebound, and then Cruthfield picks up her 4th fouling Paris Kea on an and-1. That's 2 starters with 4 fouls early in 4Q, and Kea will have a free throw to tie the game.

Oh boy. Crutchfield just fouled out with more than 8 minutes to play. Things are looking bad for State now.

Chaotic 4th quarter...with three ties and three lead changes. NC State up at the moment, 60-59. Timeout UNC, 5:18 left.

Paris Kea is taking over much as she did vs. Notre Dame. She has 31 points now.

Cunane comes up with a tough catch in traffic and converts the layup to tie the game with 1:29 to play.

This is a pretty entertaining game. The first half was really low energy but it has ramped up.

Kea with a big missed FT. NC ST in the drivers seat

Wow, Kayla Jones is a 50% free throw shooter but just hit 2 huge ones to give State a 3-point lead.

Her play off the bench has been critical this game.

Wow. 30' 3pt shot with time running out on the shot clock by Cornelius effectively seals the game for Miami.

WHEW! NC State beats UNC, 74-69. Wolfpack Women now 24-3, 11-3 ACC and remains in a third place tie with Miami. UNC falls to 17-12, 8-7 ACC.

Miami defeats FSU, first regular season win for UM over FSU in five years. This game perfectly illustrates FSU's main deficiency for this years team, a lack of size. I love Coach Sue, but I feel like her roster management is inconsistent at best, she knew she needed a big inside presence on this years team and failed to secure one, yet she landed FOUR guards when the need was post players.

Creme says an SC loss can push them out of the top 16. Game should be intense. Some major remote flip/flopping

Charlie Creme’s latest top 16, in order of seed in each region:
Greensboro: Baylor, Mississippi State, Oregon State, Miami
Chicago: Louisville, Stanford, Iowa, Marquette
Albany: UConn, NC State, Maryland, South Carolina
Portland: Notre Dame, Oregon, Iowa State, Gonzaga

This win solidifies NC State's pole position as the last #2 seed.

And Miami's win over FSU helps to shore up their status as host.

Ha I love that Tennessee has fallen so far that a loss to them has dire consequences for a team's seeding.

This game is closer than it should be. The Methodists leading the Baptists 38-34 heading into the fourth quarter.

Oregon starts 2nd quarter on a 9-0 run. Now up 34-27 over USC(before they were the Trojans they too were the Methodists)

I see that LSU is having another of its offensively challenged games: down 20-11 to Kentucky with 2 minutes left in the first half.

I'm primarily watching the USD-SDSU showdown and it's an entertaining games. The Coyotes are on the attack on the Jackrabbits.
