BTW: I read that Prince will be leaving in a few days [for a couple of weeks] to play in Russia....maybe to be on their
national team? She provides some instant perimeter offense....it will be interesting to see how EDD especially adapts
to her absence. More outside shots, I would guess.

Um... did anyone notice there were no announcers for the game? I actually enjoyed it - just the crowd noise, like being right there in the arena. You could almost hear the public address system. I'd like to see that more often.

Also, I'm not liking the new defensive 3-second rule. It opens up the paint, allowing layup after layup after layup. Who wants to watch a game of constant layups?

I watched the game via WNBA.com and just connected my iPad to my TV. Let me say, you were probably lucky not to have heard the announcers.

The WNBA Live Access package is a great deal at $14.99. You get every game!

Fowles is a load for TC, at both ends. I don't anticipate Griner having the struggles against Tina that others here do.

I hope Renee is OK. Unfortunately, it didn't look good.

Fowles couldn't guard BG without fouling her. BG's first game was against the best center in the world (can I say that after last night ) and she held her to 9 points. I doubt that BG is going to struggle against any player.

Anyway......I have the wnba package as well, and I can see that there are some games that are blacked out.
It is a nice service, but sometimes the picture is a bit blurry, and the constant plugging of that first game between the Sky and Phoenix got to be annoying after a while. The opportunity to decline the advertising is fleeting, I missed it every time.

I'm watching the replay and Elena looks really comfortable out there.
The team is finding space for her and she eats up smaller defenders no matter how good.
Rebounds well and is a good shot blocker
Anything I left out?
Oh yes, superior foul shooter.

I agree that Chicago would have selected EDD had they had the first pick. She was the perfect addition to that team. I'm not sure that BG was a good pick for Phoenix because they are going to continue to be perimeter oriented. Phoenix will not do well if they don't use the new defensive 3 second rule to get to lane like other teams are doing.

I find myself rooting for Tulsa these days...very strange, but I want the franchise to survive.

hmmm...sorry not a fan - Diggins spoiled that franchise for me. I don't want them to fold, though. I need someone to root against

The game could get ugly. Especially with Cambage injured. That forces Johnson to guard Fowles, and I have no idea who will guard EDD. And let's not talk about how Diggins and Wiggins have played...:p

Yeah, except when they play the Sky or the Sun, that is. I would not like to see them dry up and blow away.

Maybe Kayla Pederson? Anyway, Skyler's not happy thus far....

But she says all the right things, so far as I could tell reading the article.

I never found her "likable", but I don't get disliking her much, either. She just is, and will probably be quite successful, as there is no question she is a talented player. The debate is over how talented and how that talent compares to others.

never questioned her talent. I just don't care for her, that's all. :D
