The real problems in DC are organizational, their pain is almost entirely self-inflicted. There's quite a bit of decent talent on their roster, but the coach they have now will never make the most of it. When she was coaching the now defunct Charlotte team, there was a regular pattern of players that languished on her bench winning the "Most Improved" award the year they got away from her. And even worse, is that with DC, she's just a symptom. The real problem is further up the organizational ladder. A few years back they brought in a new coach and GM that got things turned around in a major way, and everything looked bright for their future. Suddenly the organization decided it needed to save money by combining the two jobs in one person, which led to both the successful coach and GM leaving.
