I'll be honest, after reading the title of the thread, I'm more than a bit surprised this thread wasn't about Lane Kiffin.
 
Wait, so this is where we're supposed to feign outrage that two college aged guys went to a strip club?
 
"Class, today we're going to cover some basics of college athletics.

1. When in the process of recruiting for a Division I school and the other D1/FBS school in town is under NCAA investigation for improper recruiting practices, among other things, DO NOT TAKE THE RECRUIT TO THE STRIP CLUB!

Show the recruit the strip club. Point out that if he chooses to attend your university, he can visit the strip club. If you're in South Florida, show the recruit the many places where he can see just as many attractive women showing skin and behaving in a flirtatious manner as the strip club, including your own campus. But DO NOT TAKE THE RECRUIT TO THE STRIP CLUB!"

I mean who doesn't remember the Zebra Club in Norwalk? They served no alcohol so you could be 18. Whaler is right, don't tweet about and it really is no harm/no foul.
 
To some of us, Electric Blue was more than just soft core show on Playboy that we would watch through the scrambled mess on our parents' TV.

Ah I didn't realize you were quoting the link. This is all kind of silly at this point. There aren't really people clueless to the realities of college sport recruiting are there? This is literally nothing in the scheme of it all.

I guess it's the continued stupidly that makes it funny now a days. I've said it before - I thank the good lord everyday there were no cellphone cameras, Facebook or Twitter when I was in my late teens, 20's and maybe early 30's.

See I wish we had cellphones when I was younger. Texting cuts to the chase of scoring so much faster.

No, not at all. It's that the kid was dumb enough to post it on Twitter, hence the title of the thread.

I searched the FIU website and couldn't find the average SAT scores anywhere so I looked it up in the Book of Colleges by the College Board, the organization that administers the tests. Average score for incoming freshmen - 1060 to 1210. My oldest kid did better than that in 8th grade.
 
I'm so glad there were no cell phones when I was in college. Well there were, but they were the size of suitcases, and they didn't take photos.

Lesson learned, somebody better being standing post at the entrance to the Electric Blue and confiscating all phones prior to entry.

One summer I was living in apartment complex off campus with a pool - woodhaven/walden or something, and there are a bunch of girls that my roomates and I met, and would hang with early on in the season by that pool during the day and then out at night. good times. Then one night later in the summer, it was a sausage fest in our place, and we got all hopped up and decided to go down to the blue. Turned out three of those girls worked there, and wouldn't come out on stage until we left!. Owner came over and told us that we had to go! KInd of awkward for a few days after that, but it all worked itself out. Already knew where and what some of the tattoos were anyway. LOL.

On one birthday when I was at UConn, I saw something that I've never seen duplicated at the blue. Girl took two matches from a book, split the bottom, attached to nips, and then lit em up and I blew them out like two candles on two big muffins. I don't know who that girl was, but she had talent.

As noted, I"m glad there were no camera phones back then.

Waaa. There is a whole world out there and people like talking about topics related to college football in general. At least on every other message board I have ever looked at anyway.

He is the board's moral conscious. If you aren't waving pom poms for UConn you pretty much don't belong here. Nothing negative is allowed to be discussed on his watch.

Weyuo many a student athelete may be coming to UConn to study the human anatomy. We are a medical reasearch school. Is it wrong for us not to be concerened a student athlete may find their way to an off campus study hall? Thus breaking a rule? Boys will be boys and I see a lot of the same here.
Off season doldrums, not too much to be discussed etc. Nothing violent or vulger on this one that I see........ Just say'n...........
