Due to Cam’s release I thought his shot would be much slower. It’s a fast release which is great
He was really RINGING THE BELL todayBenigni is a senior. This was his third D1 game (and his best game to date), and i can't tell if he's ever played for any college in any division. Anyone from the E. Hampton area know his story and how he wasn't on anyone else's radar (not us, but like CCSU and the like).
Offensively, sure. Defensively could be an issue. DC defensively is elite but Karaban has to prove hes gotten better and Newton can be really good in spurts then at other time seems to get a bit lost out there. Castle looks like he could be really good. But then again he just looks like he could be good at whatever he wants to do. He is quick with a lot of moves and looks like he can get to the basket at will. If his jumper starts falling, yikes! The 4 of newton, castle, karaban and DC is elite
This is my only real concern. The freshmen are playing like freshmen. You can tell they’re legit talents, but will they be consistent enough to be reliable against better teams? A little afraid we’re gonna see a lot of 35+ minute box scores from our starters against plus comp.Where will the bench scoring come from? Samson? Diarra? Its 2 games in, a lot on the frosh. I think the bench is legit concern.
Samson, Ball, Ross, Stewart should have no problem combining for 15-20 points a game. And with our starting lineup that's all we needWhere will the bench scoring come from? Samson? Diarra? Its 2 games in, a lot on the frosh. I think the bench is legit concern.
Looks like last year we got 20ppg out of our bench but we also only had 3 starters average double figures. All 5 might this year so we shouldn’t need as muchSamson, Ball, Ross, Stewart should have no problem combining for 15-20 points a game. And with our starting lineup that's all we need

We don't need 20 ppg from Ball, Ross, Stewart.Starting lineup is legit, no question. It can be matched up with m anybody as of Nov. I don’t see 20 ppg as a given from Ball Ross Stewart. Their freshman and unknown when it comes to hostile environments, road games, foul trouble, pressure etc.
No chance.I feel like we might see Cam move to the bench just to be able to bring a scorer off the bench. Hassan start?

Diarra might not play at all by the end of the year, maybe 5 mpgI feel like we might see Cam move to the bench just to be able to bring a scorer off the bench. Hassan start?
He didn't play last season due to injury. So he played D2 before, but this is his 3rd D1 game.It comes right up on the Stonehill website. First result on google.
He went to Xavier and prepped at Hamden Hall. Been at Stonehill all 4 years.
This isn't his 3rd D1 game--they were D1 laat year too.
Just curious… why?Need more Roumoglou

Yes, he’s also great in it. But that base lineup with Castle in the middle has three shooters on the outside (AK, Newton, and Spencer) that can also drive and dish along with Clingan down low. It’s deadly. And Karaban
Love the high skill level of this team.
Does anyone have concerns about a bit of a drop off in athletic ability? It isn't apparent on offense. But they'll have to play better team D because of the loss of Jackson and Hawkins (who was sneaky good on the defensive end).
The development of Solo Ball and either Ross or Stewart will be critical in this regard. It's a long and bruising season; can't solely rely on the big 4. I am assuming Samson and Diarra will rise to the occasion.

Silly me, I was only looking at leading CBB sites. It comes right up on the Stonehill website. First result on google.
I don’t think this will be an issue. Ball, Ross and Stewart are still learning when and where to attack in this offense. I think come BE play we’ll be able to rely on at least one of them in any given game to give us 10 pointsThis is my only real concern. The freshmen are playing like freshmen. Same reason why Syracuse’s zone stopped working as effectively over the last few years. Modern day offenses (like we run) can rip it apartIt’s crazy I used to hate playing zone teams with Ollie and even Calhouns offenses sometimes but this team didn’t have any trouble
That’s realistic. One of them, yea.I don’t think this will be an issue. Ball, Ross and Stewart are still learning when and where to attack in this offense. I think come BE play we’ll be able to rely on at least one of them in any given game to give us 10 points
You guys come up with the strangest things to complain about.I love it that UConn won, but .....
Winning by 40 and still 3 players see under 3 minutes on the court
Ridiculous
