Can Stewie have a clean sweep of POY awards?

How is she doing so far?

Why are the videos so short? Come on Jim, it's not like you're posting on vine.

Now Stewie not only has her name on the wall, but she also has her name on the NPOY board inside Gampel! Breanna Stewart 2014 joins Rebecca Lobo 1995, Jennifer Rizzotti 1996, Kara Wolters 1997, Sue Bird 2002, Diana Taurasi 2003, Diana Taurasi 2004, Maya Moore 2009/2010/2011, and Tina Charles 2010.

I know Stewie may not sweep all of the NPOY awards this year, but she's got at least one! I am so excited for her.

Is it just me or do Muffet and Co. not look happy? At least have the courtesy to clap.

I went back and watched it again. Neither Muffet nor her husband could muster up even a golf clap for a 19-year-old winning a big award. Is the blood that bad? Strange.

Nice touch as #UConn coach Geno Auriemma gave up his seat to injured Notre Dame C Natalie Achonwa at @AP_Sports press conference

A couple weeks ago, people here were debating Odyssey Sims vs Chiney Ogwimike for POY. Although both are great players - and both would have looked awesome in Husky blue - I never did get the assumption they should get POY over Breanna.

Geno is one of the classiest most respectful coaches out there. I don't think he gets enough credit for that.

Muffet's stone-faced lack of response is weird.

He has always shown that he cares about the kids, no matter what jersey they wear. Other coaches, not so much.

She told us all her senior guard was the best player in the country, right. She's classless. I guess she just does not realize that such things do not represent her U well.

Very true. It's why his teams stand and clap for their opponents on their senior night instead of running and hiding in the locker room. It's why he often has a word with an opponent's best player in the handshake line after a game. It's why you'll hear him gush about an opponent's player in a press conference. Pure class. Plain and simple. If people want to dislike him because he wins and wins, and beats their favorite team over and over again, fine, but no one respects the game and its players more than Coach Auriemma.

Way to go, Breanna!

As for Muffet...she's become an old sourpuss. Yet one more reason why ND has surpassed Tennessee as my least liked team.
Agree on all counts, my friend!

Enjoy, MH! Wish I could be there too. Someday. Someday. I am expecting all the BYers in attendance to represent well for the blue and white.

For some reason he's in love with these Tout videos which are pretty much useless.

I know there are certain people here on the BY who argue that Muffett and Geno are good buds given their Philly roots. Based on what I have read, seen and heard, she is a FOE, not a FRIEND. Her reaction to the Stewie announcement is telling.

I think Geno and Muffett used to be good friends. I remember hearing that they golfed together. That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. Not sure what happened. The distance was evident before ND jumped conferences.

Not a fan of Muffet, or Tara. Great coaches, but almost robotic, insecure, and uptight with regards to their personalities.

I see Stewie's family in the crowd. That's great. They must be so proud.
