Stewart on crutches....

I think the biggest one was actually the brain clot that almost killed him. Leaving aside the ensuing laptop scandal and suspension (no way to know if that same scandal happens in a parallel world where he stayed healthy), he would have been an experienced sophomore on that 2006 team that badly needed backcourt quickness on defense and a secondary ballhandler on offense. The 2005 team had Price and Rashad (staph infection) with serious hospital stays.

But, if Price stays healthy, he graduates in 2008, and the whole Kemba arc maybe changes. Wouldn't want to mess with any timelines that would alter that.
Would’ve been nice to have him as a freshman for 06.

Noted, not sure the purpose of this post.

Stewart is out people. We have a three day tournament this week. We’re a mild injury away from playing one of the “ good practice teammates “.
Hurley yesterday, or Tuesday, said that with Stewart out they’re practicing using double bigs…which can only mean Reed and Reibe on the court together.

.-.
The short bits I’ve seen makes me think he’s got a good bbiq. The film from last year against the USA team showed that too. Also looked like a shooter, and we need another one of those. And he’s a warm body that’s available, and we need some minutes from someone.

I don't think he's put anything out there this year that would lead one to believe that he's a better option than Millender at this point (and to be clear, I don't think Millender should be in the rotation either). Not a knock on either of those guys, and I hope Furphy sticks around, but I don't think we've seen anything this season to make you believe he'd contribute in a post-season game.

Being a Bronx NYC born and raised, Malachi may get it going in front of his people, his hometown crowd. Everybody got a story.

We're gonna miss Stewart all the way through this weekend. All you folks who don't think Jaylin makes substantial contributions to this team are crazy.
Stewart had one of his better recent games against Villanova and is a plus defender for the 3 and 4 postion. He will be missed.

I’ll be interested to see if he’s on the bench tonight. And if he’s on crutches.

He was Australia's leading scorer vs USA team including Koa Peat and AJ Dysbanta. It's not like he's got nothing.

Ross gets more I guess? From the lack of playing time I'm guessing Karoma and Millender are unplayable?
I feel like the extra minutes have made ross a more confident, and thus better, player. I don't mind seeing him come off the bench. He still makes some bad decisions though.

Right. All these dudes were studs in high school too. Did you watch any of his 30 minutes this season?

No, but I saw some of Peat and AJ. They could play for us. All I'm saying is we need someone to give us a few minutes for starters in a 40 minute game, and maybe 3 in 3 days. And I think we need more than Reibe, Ross and Smith.
