Stewart and Silas’ Status For The Tourney

New this year for the tournament

Teams must submit initial injury reports to the NCAA by 9 p.m. local time the night before a game. Any updates are required two hours before the scheduled tipoff to ensure accuracy.
Good to know-Was not aware of that change. Also allows for Vegas to make their adjustments pre-tip. (jk)

BTW-I believe there's open practice today so there may be some early indications of their status .

For all of you guys that are crying in your beer about George Mason in 2006, you don't know how lucky you are. I was watching it in a bar in Fairfax that was about 4-5 miles from the GMU campus and got the same reaction. 200 people yelling and screaming for the 'home town' folks. I was crestfallen and I slunk out as well, BUT I had to go home and face my wife and son, both of whom graduated from --- you guessed it ---- George **** Mason. I still get reminded of that every March by one of them.

One thing to beware of is that Stew just hasnt played in games for awhile and there is no leeway in the tourney to shake off rust.

There is a difference between game conditions and practice conditions. The Tournament sets up for weekend games and week day practice/travel. If he's able- Would rather see him shake off rust in Furman game vs UCLA/UCF winner game. You know Hurley/staff will be re-acclimating him as best they can in practices based on his rehab.

Hope he's able to play. Can be a difference maker off the bench.

We might have been in the same bar. You might not have seen me late in the second half because I was under my table crying.

These guys dream all year to play in the tourney. If they can walk or crawl they want to be out there. Still don’t know the exact nature of either of their injuries.

Not sure where to put this, but Dan mentions Silas. We need him to bring that defensive intensity.

Well, he’s right. This was always going to be about defense. We certainly are overdue but if we don’t shoot well then D turns the tide.

Why did you need to be in a bar with 200 GMU fans instead of home with 2?

Do you remind them of the 4 national titles since that game?
