Both players have been inconsistent. We need both to perform every time they are on the floor.

I don’t agree with Reed being inconsistent. Sure maybe a little they all are actually. But to me the fact we don’t get him involved quite often, don’t throw it in to him enough makes it seem like he’s ghosting us. He wants the ball, throw it to him he can score when guys are throwing bricks. He is usually very tough to handle on the low block we just don’t take advantage of him enough for me!

Reed is the best inside scorer and when in a half court offense he needs to be in the game. When UConn is running than Sampson is the one.

The games Tarris doesn't do much of anything are the games he doesn't get the ball. The games he does a lot of damage and looks unstoppable are the games he gets the ball. I have a solution...get him the ball.
I was at the game last night screaming for them to give him the ball. He gets position but they’re too worried bout giving it to Karaban every single time.

He’s nearly unstoppable when he decides to take it.

This we agree on. Stewart is a talented kid with the ball in his hands and we're not exploiting it. I'd rather have him taking a dribble handoff and attacking the bucket than Alex.
Exactly. Alex would be much better in Stewart’s current role as a catch and shoot guy and secondary creator/connector.

Forcing it with him isn’t helping anyone including himself.

I agree with a lot of what you're saying but I think he does have consistency issues. The Xavier games are a great example to me. He had 20pt and 13 boards in the first matchup and then last week had 3/2 with 4 fouls. When he's on, he's an absolute machine, but sometimes he just doesn't feel like he's playing with the understanding that he can do that every night.

Oh the fouling does point to inconsistency and in those games no doubt it’s on him. Needs to be much smarter I agree. But we need to run some more stuff when he’s playing so he can go man v Mano Mano on the block.

There is a lot more to it than that. In the few games prior to this past Wednesday and in his first action against DePaul in our last game he played slow and small. Once he was subbed back in he started to assert himself but (pun intended) the grizzly bear was in hibernation for a couple weeks, then woke from his hibernation about twelve minutes into the DePaul game. I really need to see that from him from here on out.

In regards to Reed, he was probably our best player in Maui. He had like 3 straight double doubles. It must be pretty discouraging to perform like that and not earn a starting role or bigger role the way he dominated.

Hard to ask someone to consistently be that player if you’re not elevating them to a position to consistently do that.
