While I agree the problem was mostly with DeLeone, but it's Coach P's program....he can't keep every individual kid out of the 105 from making a random bad decision, but he CAN control the debacle that could only be loosely referred to as GDL's "coaching." That falls squarely on his shoulders for allowing the last 2 years of devolution.

Are you being sarcastic? I can't tell. If not, then simmer down there, Pac Man. The entire NFL Network panel was fawning over the UConn defensive players at the combine. These comments are not rude or classless in the least.

Hmmmmmmm. Please reread your statement. The boss who keeps an incompetent #2 for several years and only reduces the #2's responsibility the 3rd year 'cause his boss "makes him" has done a great job? What would have been required for you to rate PP "average" these last two years?

It seems to me that PP did a good job on defense and a crap job on offense. The two aren't mutually exclusive... but overall he didn't win. So great job seems a stretch. I think it's a perfectly fair question to ask why we haven't won more with those defensive players... the answer is obvious if you spend 10 seconds looking at our statistics on the offensive side.

Once again Edsall's complete neglect to recruit offensive talent is painfully apparent. He could really spot defensive talent, but it is like he didn't even bother recruiting offense. I am hopeful that CPP is going to be remedying that.

Why not? He had almost a .600 winning % with the 49ers and made Jeff Garcia into more than a servicable quarter back. His Lions teams stunk, but he was also the one who wasted three straight first rounders on wideouts. Now if you made this comment about Matt Millen, I'd agree wholeheartedly.
