With where these two men took this university and made
them into national powers. Do you feel as if they should be
immortalized with statutes in front of Gampel or a new arena
should they build one.

I think that full body statues should wait until the men are deceased or at least definitely retired (in Geno's case). I'd be fine with monstrous busts of each greeting visitors to the practice facility, but not anywhere near ground level. Dont want to give any visiting team's fans a chance to try to tarnish the greatness

Greatness is correct. Had these men chose not to take
the jobs Uconn would be a mid-major scraping for
recruits. Now kids know who we are male and females. No A&C no Uconn.

If not I'm going to blame Johnny Selvie.

I'd be fine with monstrous busts greeting me pretty much anywhere.

I mean, I know this is a joke and all... but that would be awesome.

It really would. There are some definite iconic poses we could use: Emeka going straight up for the block, the Bazz leg-kick release on the 3, Rashad blowing on his fingers, Rip's J, Ray dunking baseline, Kemba crossing over, Nadav holding the ball up to pass....

One of the billionaires on the Boneyard needs to make this happen.

We need a statue of Calhoun on a horse so when people come to Gampel they think, what --- is Calhoun doing on a horse?

Done.

I believe that both UConn 2000 ($1B) and 21st Century UConn ($1.3B) are statutes immortalizing Calhoun and Auriemma.

Let's hope nothing was erected in connection with that legislation.

Still can't believe UCONN hasn't named the Court at Gampel after JC.

With coaches who have accomplished far less like Jimmy B,. John Cress and Bobby Crimins having their
own Courts how can JC not have one named in his honor?

And I don't need to hear the Geno argument(name somrthing else for him).

But that Court should be in Calhoun's name only IMO.
