Exactly. The UConn offense isn't run to get Fudd or anybody step back 3s. That's for teams like Iowa who play a two-man offense while everybody else stands around and watches. The point @CocoHusky is trying to make is that if you want Fudd to score a lot, she needs the ball in her hands. Not standing in the corner hoping it eventually gets there.
Nor does it mean if she is a SG that she is just going to stand in the corner hoping for the ball.

True, she could also waste 20 seconds of the shot clock fighting and getting grabbed around screens like Bueckers had to until Auriemma finally decided to put the ball in her hands so she could get shots.

True. Or she play off the ball like Bueckers did vs South Carolina in 2020-2021 while Nika was the pg for most of the game. .

Well, it looks like Bueckers had the ball a lot in that game since she got 26 shots with 14 makes in that game and had 5 assists while Muhl had a total of 2 assists in 35 minutes. So it wasn't Muhl's passes that generated Bueckers' offense. Looks like it was her own playmaking.

I've seen some starting line-ups posts but we have to remember that Geno Auriemma puts a premium on seniors, players who understand the offense, and being able to add sparks off the bench, the starting line-up will most likely be:

Azzi Fudd
Caroline Ducharme
Aubrey Griffin
Aaliyah Edwards
Dorka Juhasz

I think it's great, Nika subs for Azzi given the point guard depth, they both shouldn't be on the floor at the same time unless it works for the matchup. Geno can choose whether he pulls Griffin or Ducharme for Lopez-Senechal or Ayanna Patterson and it all matches up. Or doesn't, you let me know.
No way Griffin starts!

I agree wholeheartedly with the gist of your post, BobbyJ, and eebmg before that about UConn's offense being so much different than Iowa's. However, you need to watch the Hawkeyes a bit more if you think everyone stands around except Clark and Czinano. The crucial difference is that the Huskies have more depth of talent and hence more scoring options.

Well,. this thread is about starting lineup. So Nika as the pg can be the starter in which Bueckers or Azzi don't have to sit in the corner is the point. A sg can put up numbers as you've just shown.
