Stars of Storrs roster

Pretty cool to see recent CCSU grad Jordan Jones joining the squad after he finished last season as the NEC POY. First CCSU player to win NEC POY in 14 years.

With his on-ball aggressiveness and ability to create offense, he could truly provide value off-the-bench.

I like this lineup better than last year. The roster is younger and consists of players still playing the game. I love Jeff Adrien, hell all us Husky fans should for his contributions to UConn. However, there is no way he should have been on the roster last year at his old age and he was out of shape, too.

Does anyone know if this is available streaming or somehow other than the apparent FS2 broadcast? I’m pretty sure I watched the games for free online last year but honestly don’t remember.

No doubt but I’m a selfish man.

I think it’s too risky for folks currently playing pro ball or with aspirations of playing pro ball anywhere this season. His name escapes me, but our booster who is organizing the Storrs team was trying to convince Sanogo to play….there’s like no way his reps are letting him do that.

look at my post, #19 in this thread (also copied and pasted below).

Horatio: Is he even allowed to be in the TBT. Is he totally out of the NBA?

gsmooth: that is a good question. I don't have the immediate answer for that. In a strange way, I almost don't want him to be in TBT because I still want to see him in bigger and better things basketball wise. I know that might sound strange to some. But if he does join the Stars of Storrs I will root for him just like when he was at UConn.

I actually don't want Sanogo in the TBT. He can make good money in Europe. However, I still think he would be a solid player off the bench in the NBA. He has bigger things in his plans than TBT, and he should.

Exactly.

And I agree…..he can play in the NBA, but that league is so GD rigid in their thinking that someone his size cannot be effective at the position.

Its too early for Sanogo since he's trying to make an NBA roster but the tournament is filled with guys still playing internationally, Boatright is one of em. That's why it made no sense to have an old and inactive Adrien and inactive Daniels in last year's tourney, there's way too many guys on these teams still playing competitive ball to add fossils.

“You have to train for this, you have to be in shape. You’re gonna run into some guys that are trying to win this money and are, if not more talented than you, just as much. So you have to be ready and prepared for that or you will get embarrassed,” said 2014 UConn national champion Ryan Boatright, who was one of the stars last summer and has now added some general manager responsibilities. Boatright discussed the TBT on an Instagram livestream with D’Amelio, who is also head of the Huskies Collective, which helps facilitate NIL opportunities for UConn athletes, and new head coach Tyler Olander last month.

sounds like they learned from last year

Brown Ballers are on fire. Stars of Storrs didn't expect to have to spend a lot of energy playing defense and they are not , LOL

Boat with the deep 3 to close it out, surprised Olander took Thomas out one basket away from the Elam ending but I guess maybe he did it for defense since Brown Bombers were gonna be firing up 3s. I think this is another one win and done for them but hope I'm wrong.
