Stanford vs. Arizona St. 3/3/18

McPhee dribbled into traffic and got stripped, but hustled back and caused a turnover on the other end. Led to a layup for Williams. She's leading everybody w/ 18 points. 39-25 Stanford.

It's the Kianna Williams show! 21 points 8-9 from the floor 5-5 behind the arc. 42-25 Stanford.

Well tell “Nanny” to pick up the pace like she did against Oregon. No way I want to see a ASU /Oregon Championship game...yuk

No worries, the freshman kid has it covered.

Williams with another 3! Stanford comfortably ahead again 47-27 w/ 3:09 left in Q3.

How did Oregon St. lose to ASU?

Smith drills a 3 at the buzzer, Stanford up 52-28 after 3Q.

Somebody needs to lose a job when you miss a whole play because they have a stupid graphic covering the entire screen!

I think McPhee got benched, just not her night. 56-33 just under 7 minutes left.

.-.
Ekmark 0 points under 8 min to go in game. Stamford up 26

Brookings, OR! I've passed thru there a few times.

Stanford has gone fairly deep into the bench for most of the 4th quarter, not doing much on offense. ASU not making up much ground though. 58-39 w/ 3+ minutes left.

I remember this about Stanford last year as well. Their defense by late February becomes *stifling*. All the people who wrote them off back in December better watch and learn.

.-.
Stanford and ASU both have a starter from the state of Wyoming. I bet that doesn't happen very often.

edited--ha, I looked it up, University of Wyoming doesn't have a single player on their roster from within the state. Not exactly talent rich for high school hoops.
I'm a University of Wyoming student and have lived in Wyoming my whole life. There's definitely not a lot of D1 talent. And when there is, they leave the state. I don't blame them lol, who could pick nice weather at Stanford and ASU compared to cold, windy Wyoming ?

I can't think of her name, but Stanford had a 6-6 or 6-7 post player from Wyoming a number of years ago. She was a decent backup and maybe started towards the end of her career. So they've mined the Wyoming pipeline at least twice. She might've played alongside Brook Smith, but before Appel, Pedersen and the Ogwumikes started showing up.

What happened to your squad (WCBB) the last two games... RPI down 17 spots this week Head bang Yall need to go ahead and stop messing around and win the MWC tourney

I'm not an insider, but as far as I know he has his dream job right now. I would really like to think no way he leaves OSU for Tennessee. It's bad enough the Vols keep stealing recruits from the state of Oregon, if they take Rueck they are dead to me.
Haha. Let us know when the Vols are dead to you and your Guest Membership status can be upgraded.

Nice game for a freshman averaging 9.6 ppg! I liked her in the Jordan Brand game.

I thought when I reviewed Stanford’s roster and counted 6 McDonalds All-Americans on it. Dodson was also one and I am surprised the reserves were so brutal. Steep learning curve perhaps like what Geno/CD have?

Maybe. Both McCall (graduated last year) and McPhee didn't become impact players until their Jr. years. Sophs Carrington and Fingall had their moments this year, certainly improved from Fr. year, but didn't make as a big of a jump as I thought they would. A couple of players that were in at the end of the game are Jr. who probably aren't going to play much next year either.
