I love Geno and his support of other UConn teams and players. He also talked about watching Tage Thompson during his UConn hockey days.Amen
Beautiful broadcast moment too. Fanta “this place will explode with a bucket”, AK immediately launches a 60 foot pass to Mullins, he swishes it, the place explodesThe sequence where, we're up 15 to 11, SJU brings ball up court, a pass, Reed gets hand on the pass and hits the deck, steals ball, passes to AK who Doron Scheffers a pass up court to Mullins for the BOOM.
18 to 11.
I think everyone watching knew Ross was going to hit that turnaround jumper — except Fanta and Hummel.
Yeah, I do think posting this at any opportunity is mojo GOLD...Almost.....Almost ranks up there with the Illinois beat down in tournament.

So, you mean like the 1984 shutdown of Kentucky in the Final Four kind of "high level" ? Different era, but SJU did outscore Kentucky's second half in that game 14-11Only if you consider Georgetown high level.
Alright, so people keep saying this and given the opponent and context, I guess I agree. But straight numbers, the game at PC last year with 24 pts, 18 reb, and 6 blks was better.Easily Reeds best game at UConn. He was focused and engaged all game long. He did a great job of recognizing when the D collapsed on him to pass it back out, bb IQ was in check. Congrats to Tarris.👏🏻![]()
As for the rest of the team, great effort all game long. Hurley rises again......
👏🏻
shades of George Michael: “people, you can never change the way they feel…”Geno making sense here of what goes on here with the fan base. It is just people being people, there's no changing it.

They have some nice stuff there for sure.I starting to think I gonna get my new bed for free.
Always liked that song, nice vocals, nice melody, "Kissing a Fool"shades of George Michael: “people, you can never change the way they feel…”
UConn keeping the white suit in the closet:
I love my new pillow! They have some nice stuff there for sure.

Yeah, those are the too deep, too quick shots. The next one he makes will be the firstI can’t remember a shooter like Mullins who can look so good with his quick release and then shoot a brick. It wasn’t just this game but he had a few against St. John’s.
Meh. The team was bad - IN THAT GAME. But that isn't what he said, and this game proves what he did say was flat out wrongHe wasn't wrong. The team was bad. Teams evolve and especially Hurley coached teams.
Would it be ok if he decided on his own not to take quick threes from 28 feet ?Have to let him rip it and keep that mentality.
No, he won't make any "crazy ones". The quick release off the screen in the corner from the line is not "crazy". The ones from 28-30 feet are crazy and he does not make them. At all.He has the ultimate green light. He'll have a couple crazy ones that miss everything and he'll also make a couple of crazy ones nobody else can possibly make. It's fun to watch.
He of course has made some deep ones as has AK but they miss a lot more of them than they make. No, he won't make any "crazy ones". The quick release off the screen in the corner from the line is not "crazy". The ones from 28-30 feet are crazy and he does not make them. At all.
