Maybe it is because I used to go to the Whalers and now really enjoy watching UConn hockey but that horn sounded so good, it had me pumped in my living room.MVP of last night: GOAL HORN

Slick wants to get down closer to his ponies. He will be at Georgia next year. Little birdie.
And it looked even worse after what St. John's did to Creighton beating them by 29. The Creighton game might be a demarcation point for the turnaround, but that should not have been needed because UConn's defense was lousy for the 3 games before. Losing at home to Creighton was a Q3 loss and almost cost UConn a chance at the #1 seed, except games last Saturday went UConn's way. They were really bad vs Creighton, that ain't changing
Looks like Creighton woke us up, which is awesome
The crowd was louder than any I can remember. I’m hoarse. The crowd was LIT!!!!
That's why I said before the game the best counter to St. John's pressure is probably UConn playing stout half court defense. This eliminates St. John's being able to apply pressure on the inbound passes since that mostly happens after made baskets. It seems to me they were pressing us but as you said, so few makes makes it hard to apply constant pressure. Pitino admitted last time the secret is to wear the other team down, not necessarily to get turnovers. But you have to make some shots and that just wasn't happening last night.
You keep saying this like it has any sort of meaning, it doesn't. Creighton is 79 on KenPom, Xavier is 97 on KenPom. Yet UConn beat them by 23 and 32 points, and St John's beat them by 5 twice. And it looked even worse after what St. John's did to Creighton beating them by 29.
