Oh no, retired guys playing poker with the Mob! Oooooh! Meanwhile it's legal for college kids to bet their NIL money as of now and the NCAA is good with it.
And so it begins....

As the college basketball season prepares to tip off, an NCAA gambling investigation with links to the NBA betting scandal is impacting the status of multiple players at several schools, according to sources familiar with the probe.

A trio of congressmen have asked NCAA president Charlie Baker to provide more information about the association's plans to allow college athletes to bet on professional sports.

It will be interesting how artfully Charlie can say "It's something we figure we need to do before we start taking sportsbook money."

Now we move on to MLB scandal. Sports teams/leagues better get their act together before it all goes down the drain.
I think it is too late for that. This is in the category of where there is smoke there is fire. I believe there is more to the Ohtani situation and sometimes as we have have learned just like companies and banks some stars are too big to fail. So they get protected.

We have seen enough of this now to reach a reasonable conclusion that even if I am wrong about Ohtani this is happening more than just these few arrests that have been made. Betting on the outcome of a pitch is so ridiculous that these guys probably thought who would really be looking at that which kind of shows that the stupid ones get caught. Yeah it is reasonable to believe that there is going to be 100’s of thousands of dollars bet on whether a pitch is a ball or a strike or how fast a fastball is. Just the fact that they allow people to bet on that then there is surprise that it was not legitimate and to me just shows how bad a problem all this legalized gambling has and will continue to create.

It is ruining as many lives and families as illegal drugs…and then there is this yeah let’s work together brilliant…..

FanDuel president Christian Genetski said the legal betting industry will continue to collaborate with sports leagues and take steps to combat corruption.
