The game was a back and forth affair with several lead changes until Courtney Williams started to impose her will. USF now up 6 all due to the All American.

ECU has been taking a lot of bad shots (contested by at least 2 USF defenders). They need to learn how to kick the ball back out if the shot isn't there. Still, I'm impressed with both teams - both run at least as much offense as other teams in WCBB - not saying much I know, but seeing some passes around the perimeter, poking at the defense to try to find a gap or opening. ECU just needs to be more patient and not jack up bad shots that are hugely contested....

I just looked at the box score and am surprised to see ECU at 6-7. They seem to be a solid defensive team. I guess they struggle on offense, among other things... and they just lost by 2 to a pretty bad Tulsa team...

USF is trying really had to throw this game away. Williams, who was brilliant in the third quarter, is now trying to win the game by herself and, unfortunately, isn't making the best decisions.

Too many TOs by both teams My goodness.

4 point game with 1 minute left in the game, USF is up.

Yikes, tie game with 11 seconds left. Serious brain cramps all around by USF but credit to a much-improved East Carolina for fighting back.

East Carolina blew it. They didn't deploy the famous wall of coaches on the final time out. That allowed USF to peak into EC huddle and knew the defensive plan!

I checked on HG and she was rated 89, a 3 star "guard" and not in their top 100. Reminiscent of Angel McCaughtry - Everyone but Louisville missed the boat on her...

She was so far out of the top 100 that per HG, she was #72... AT HER POSITION... guard. In other words, she was the 72nd ranked guard in her class. Wow!
