One look at his eyes and I'm sure I can hear the marbles rolling inside. He invented the word "intense"!

Bad luck for him that a camera caught him, that's all. If Calhoun got suspended every time he motherf___ed a player to death he'd hardly be on the bench.

Seems an odd incident to suspend him over . . . he and a million other coaches have done far worse.

I think the suspension was less over one incident and more the result of a pattern of behavior. It's not the first time he's embarrassed them.

Martin was born 40 years too late. There's no room in today's cameras-everywhere sports world for a guy as unhinged as Martin. In the 70s, with no social media and no HD TV and no cameras-everywhere, he could have been a poor man's Bobby Knight.
Now, in today's culture, he just seems like a ranting, juvenile bully. It's only a matter of time until he has his Mike Rice moment and gets canned.
Guy gives me the creeps. No rational person should be that concerned with the outcome of a game.

The guy is a good coach and actually seems like a good guy away from the court. Have seen a couple interviews and he's actually sarcastic, funny and a decent guy but obviously old days-intense. He could coach my kid but there's a different culture out there now as said above……...

I agree, my coaches would have been jailed today for the crap they pulled and the things they said. No social media, phone cams and other instant 'gotchas' in my time. You could even since time was catching up to our 'old school coach' in his later years.
