Question for Miss State fans. Why did Bibby play so much more than Johnson vs Missouri? Seemed to reverse their usual minutes.

Was it to match up with Missouri's size? Or was Johnson limited by injury or illness or something?

Johnson was battling Shin Splints.
 
Early on, it looks like Miss State is going to have a tough time containing Wilson...

Early on MSS has no answer for A'ja. They're allowing her to get the ball inside or at the foul line. The two places you want to deny her. She's then having no problem off the dribble or finishing in the lane. They're forcing Vivians to shot from the perimeter, willing to live with her jumper rather than drawing fouls inside. Also it looks like Vivians has drawn A'ja as her mark. Tough.
 
Wow..............Wilson kinda, sorta made a move to her right............let's see if she repeats that...........
 
I will be honest I haven't watched a ton SC games. I thought Wilson was really good from what I saw, but not to the extent of her being POY. From what I am seeing from her tonight, she may be the POY. Super athletic for her size and just fines a way to score and finishes!
 
I think there is a real benefit of winning streaks. We have that advantage of confidence over Mississippi State and you have it over everyone.
 
Wilson on track to score 40. MSU needs to make some adjustments. I wonder if Vic waits till halftime, or if he even has a plan to try to stop her. Either way, I would not be sad at all to see SC win - would certainly squelch any doubts that MSU was in the same league as UCONN...
 
I like Wilson on Vivians and Jennings/Herbert Harrington on McCowan...that is outside the box thinking!

MSS can't find Cowns on offense and A'ja is a handful for Vivians to shoot over or dribble around.

I don't think Wilson can afford to chase Vivians for too long.........if I was Vic I'd have Vivians running as much as possible as far away from the basket as possible when Wilson covers her for the rest of the half and then go right at her in the second half
 
Miss St seems intimidated by South Carolina every time they play. South Carolina never scores this easily. They’ve always had problems with offense and somehow seem to be scoring at will against the “2nd” best team that’s known for their defense.

Yeah, I'd just as soon see SC win and based on what's happened so far it is no worries.

3 straight TO's on offense for SCar.
 
Didn't expect Miss St to be so cold to start but I wonder if the sellout super loud crowd is something SC is more used to? Maybe Miss St is freaked out?

of course as i say that, Dawn takes her off Vivians and Vivians promptly drains a pair of 3- pointers so what do I know...!
