South Carolina-Iowa State Matchup

I wish we would play Iowa this year AT Iowa. Home and home agreement. I like games played in big FULL houses and hate the thump of the ball in an empty gym.

If Iowa wont do it, I would welcome a home and home vs Iowa State following this year's neutral site game. They may pack the house better than Iowa (again) now that Caitlin's gone. Much respect for both Iowa fanbases for their support of wbb,
 
SC played at Iowa State recently.

I think we played in an Iowa tournament and I rennet Joens dad being a embarrassment to their fans
 
Going to be an interesting non-conference for Iowa State. Fennelly almost never plays much in the way of top tier Div 1 teams in NC, usually a mix of regional mid-majors and Iowa. Will be a good test for the upstart Cyclones to measure how far they need to go to play with Final Four level teams. With all of the transfers in the early games might be a bit dicey as they integrate the newbies into the lineup. They might get roughed up some but than they have another 20 games to improve before the NCAA's and any sort of repeat matchups with Final Four level teams. Biggest hurdle for ISU will be playing better defense than they historically have.

Have not heard much about dad Joens lately which is good. Think the last maybe was him melting down because Ashley tested positive for COVID and had to sit a game. I do have to give Hawks fans some props about the Joens family. Even amongst the worst of the rivalry social media insulting I don't think I have ever heard anything but nice things said about the gals. And that's in a social media world where we have a lot of trolls posting truly disgusting things about Clark and Audi Crooks.
 
That will be a great game! I wonder how they'll match up. Iowa State's core of Ryan Crooks Brown is pretty solid. After that, I wonder how much they can rely on Joens Harris Hansford and Taulelei. They could be great, or they could flounder. Much will be revealed by this year's OOC schedule.

Just at a glance, Crooks and Brown look like a handful for any front court, but I have a feeling Watkins Walker and Dauda are up to the challenge. And as good as Emily Ryan is, I think Raven, Tessa, Milaysia and Bree may be too much for ISU to handle.

Not even mentioning Pao Pao is kind of indicative of how much backcourt talent SC has.

Yes, but I suspect she’s going to take a back seat more and more to Tessa and Milaysia. They look like the future to me.

should be a good game. really like these types of OoC matchups. expecting a 10-15 pt. SC win in the end.

I like that even more! Just around the corner!! South Carolina and Iowa State is going to be a solid game and I am looking forward to the matchups. Keep growing the game.

Substitute more productive Feagin, Kitts and possibly Edwards for Walker.

I am looking forward to Crooks vs, Ashlyn Watkins. The super leaper, lithe athlete vs the immovable, space eating rock. Crooks and Beers are gonna be tough for Ashlyn to get around and I hope they don't frustrate her into foul trouble.

Is the Beers reference a general reference to this season? I'm confused. Beers transferred to Oklahoma, not Iowa State.

The issue will be how they handle Ashlyn's quickness and leaping ability. We have seen Stephanie Dolson struggle with quickness in the Wnba with athletic centers like A'ja and Napheesa etc...
