Not a huge MLB fan but this does not sound appealing to me, at all. Are the 11-14th place teams really going to have any kind of chance of winning it all? I guess on occasion the 11th place team is really solid sometimes even around 90 wins (Indians 93-69 from this previous year) but there are some pretty bad teams for #13th and #14th a lot of years.

I'd rather miss out on the occasional awesome 11th team, like those 93 win Indians last year than have some lackluster 13th and/or 14th place teams from now on (84-78 Redsox being one of the better 14th teams in recent memory). The Cubs were the 15th place team at 84-78 last year. Other than that I wonder when the last time was that the 15th best team finished over .500.

Thoughts? Opinions?

In the old days, people still followed their team even after they were out of the pennant race. Not anymore. I don't mind more teams but I hate 1-game playoffs.

Enough teams make the playoffs now we don’t need anymore gimmicks .... like 3 batter minimum awful ideas

Just lop 4 games off of the regular season, make the wild card a best 2 of 3, and call it a day.
