Restoration at the rescue mission
Soap, soup and salvation

A couple live cuts from Neil Diamond, there are a bunch.
Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show.
(Need to watch on YT, 'cuz live is the only way to go with this one...)

He performed that one well, from the first tour I saw (probably the one in the You Tube video) till his last. Often his walk-off.

When I started going to one show each tour, he was very raspy voiced, but that got better. During his final tour, some said he was so stiff, which I suspect was the beginning of his Parkinson's. But as I say - the rendition of Brother Love's was always dynamite.

My youngest brother saw him live somewhere here in CT and said that Neil performed a incredible show.

This band is interesting. Found some mainstream success, they were all over MTV for a while in the mid 2000s. Many thought they were a secular band. They were a self described Christian band. I guess some of the lyrics are subtle enough they can be interpreted different ways. It's definitely confessional style rather than gospel.

Well, why not. As far as I know the only overtly Christian band that was right in the thick of the 80s hair metal era (I'm sure there were others, but they were in their own niche, not mainstream).

Richard Wagner's Götterdämmerung - Siegfried's Funeral/Twilight of the Gods
I waffled between a straight orchestral version or the ending of 'Excalibur'
Decided on this for the Lady of the Lake visual.

Maynard James Keenan wrote the song about his mother Judith Marie Keenan. She suffered a stroke and was reliant on a wheelchair for the rest of her life. Yet she still believed in Christianity.

Not like you killed someone
It's not like you drove a Spiteful Spear into His Side
Talk to
As if he knows the Reasons Why
He did it all for you
