Ball Of Confusion.
Temptations.

Timeless epic classic.

An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth

Well, the only person talking about love thy brother is the preacher

“Music is very spiritual, it has the power to bring people together.” – Edgar Winter

This is Epica being epic. This is a three-song suite running about 40 minutes. It was written and recorded over about 12 years. (There's a children's choir on part three, many of whom hadn't been born when part I came out.) It's about the intersection of science and spirituality/religion.

This is nothing like Sara McLachlan's song of the same name. You gotta love a metal band that has a violin AND cello and knows how to use them.

Set out runnin' but I take my time
A friend of the Devil is a friend of mine
If I get home before daylight
I just might get some sleep tonight
Ran into the Devil, babe
He loaned me twenty bills
I spent the night in Utah
In a cave up in the hills...

You imagine me sipping champagne from your boot
For taste of your elegant pride
I may be going to hell in a bucket, babe
But at least I'm enjoying the ride, at least I'll enjoy the ride.
