OT: Songs from the radio about the radio...

after like the millionth tale of radio and the olden days from my elders, i managed to pick up a 'the crystal' -that's what they called it, 'the crystal,' and bring it to school, since apparently, no self respecting kid would be in class without one during World Series time, and i wanted to share the experience. teach says, upon discovery of my transgression, 'u know that there's no phone use in class, hand it over.' i do, and she says 'what's this?'
in the old hood in Bport, sometimes id get the travelogue from one of them -'and here's where ....' one amazing thing was that there was like a half dozen radio shops in the West Side. i guess that everyone needed a tube or voltmeter place within walking distance. amazing.
from the movie 'Radio Days.' nice tune. nice movie.

un mas, i think that the radio station where they made their big debut was called wfak.

i like george clooney movies. i think his mom was a radio star. or sold war bonds, sumthin like that. mebbe she was rosie the riveter? jk.

'boys, that sure was some mighty fine pickin' an' a sangin.'

when u add up all the hits for this classic, u blow past 1.5 billion.
i especially like the eagle on this version. happy Fourth to us all.

and ol george. dude was a badass, the baddest asseyist. thanks george.

lost in the middle of seventeen,
yeah, everything about you and me,
was a tank of gas and a radio song...

i was caller number five on the radio station,
won a four day, three night beach vacation...

now, she was sure real quick to up and apologize,
when she heard about my new found luck on that fm dial....

ya think that i like this tune a lot? i only post it ... every chance i get.

.-.
This one was on the tip of my brain for a couple of days before I remembered it was the flip side of Brick House. Not my cuppa, but some here might enjoy it.
