OT: Songs From Soundtracks

In 2008, much to the surprise of the world, the tiny drama about an Indian boy competing on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? became the runaway sensation. The film ends with a magnificent dance number paying homage to Bollywood, and the cast performs to "Jai Ho." The infectious melody took over the airwaves (both with the help of Nicole Scherzinger and without) and introduced many Westerners to the magic of Bollywood.

Springsteens -Light Of Day - from the Joan Jett/Michael J Fox movie.
Not the best movie, cool song.

Layer Cake had some good songs. I was late to the party w/ trip hop, but got there eventually.

Maria Vidal - Body Rock - from the movie of the same name.
Every once in a while a disco/techno/edm tune will catch my ear....

This song is in a BUNCH of movies. I couldn't do the scene from Kingsman because it's so violent, so I'll go with this one.

Captain Fantastic was a fairly odd movie, but interesting. A couple memorable songs in that one.

When "Not Another Teen Movie" spoofed this movie, it almost seemed like the original was already a spoof, it was so bad. But it did include this wonderful song.

I don't know if I ever would've discovered this band if their song wasn't featured in this movie. Love this song, and they have a bunch of other songs I really like as well. Also a big Zoey Deutch fan.
