OT: Songs From Soundtracks

Where is the love for our very own Rockville Rocket - Gene Pitney! "Possibly the most famous song recorded by the great Gene Pitney and one of the most memorable and haunting themes from a film in the history of cinema." BTW, I own a jukebox similar to the one shown in the beginning.

And of course this GREAT song from a great western! (Too many superlatives?) If you are familiar with this movie, someone did an excellent job matching the movie video clips to the lyrics of the song. Definitely worth watching this video. Impressive!

I can’t find the scene in the movie, but this was featured in the movie The Bedroom Window.

The attractive young lady in the movie is Christine Kaufmann, who was 15 when the movie was filmed in 1961. In 1962, she appeared in "Taras Bulba" with Yul Brynner and Tony Curtis. Curtis apparently flipped out over her, left his wife Janet Leigh and his family, and moved in with the 16 year old German girl. Guess Hollywood had more pity than the German village depicted in the film.

Full Force should have had more hits for themselves instead of Lisa Lisa, James Brown, Madonna and others.

Without looking at every page, I doubt it’s been mentioned already. The last song from “The Accountant”, “To Leave Something Behind” by Sean Rowe.

Great use of the song in the movie, thanks for the reminder.

It seems like there are a lot of movies that are more well known for their soundtracks than the movie...

Here is one from the Ramones from the movie of the same name. The movie did give us P. J. Sholes, so there is that...

There have been several songs posted from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I am surprised this wasn't one of them.

A couple from Mars Attacks! I love how the Martians were just absolute complete jerk wads in the movie.
