OT: Songs About the Night - In the Title or the Lyrics

Lesser known artist here - Alex Taylor, doing his famous brother's "Highway Song"

'Cause one Saturday night I was laying in bed
And I heard that highway song...

The ferry featured is the Rocky Hill – Glastonbury Ferry in Connecticut. The video was shot on the Providence & Worcester railroad bridge spanning the Connecticut River in the city of Middletown, Connecticut. Joel and three backup singers appear throughout the video standing on the western span of the bridge, with the open center section of the bridge behind them. Other locations that were filmed in the music video are near Portland, East Haddam, and Old Saybrook, Connecticut. The scenes inside the tobacco barn with Joel on the piano were filmed inside a still-used tobacco barn in South Glastonbury, Connecticut.

he's local. sometimes, he could be seen on the piano at the gris, tho rumor has it that he hadn't been seen there in a while.

I so love this song by Little Feat:

And I was out on the road late at night
I'd seen my pretty Alice in every head light
Alice, Dallas Alice....

They got a place down Kentucky
Right down near Ohio
Where you can watch the planes at night
People line up to watch each flight

I said watchin' them planes
I wish I was on one
I'm sittin' here thinkin' 'bout my red head dream
If I could only see her tonight
