OT: Songs About the Night - In the Title or the Lyrics

.-.

Many Christmas songs have “night” in title and lyrics, but the love song that I think most typifies the word “night” is sung here by the great Nelson Eddy (in his most famous role as Mountie Sergeant Bruce) to the equally great Jeanette McDonald.

My apologies in advance....
Bay City Rollers - Saturday Night
Incoming snarky comments may be appropriate and I accept that as I hit 'Post'. Maybe the Wolfman Jack intro will lessen the 'cheese' factor? Yeaaaahhh, probably not......

Silent Night. Probably the most popular of them all.

Dancing With The Moonlight Knight.
Genesis.

cannot spell Knight without Night.
:D :p

Band members were only 22 and 23 years old when they created this Prog Rock Masterpiece.

We'll see if Cliff likes this one by Bruce:

Laying here in the dark
You're like an angel on my chest.....
subject matter jurisdiction, 1, cliffys tastes.
waste of time, everbuddy knows i have no taste. i eat those cheap chocolate wafers, make cookies with margerine sumtimes, swig sunny d by the pail, and always, always, snarf micky d burgers by the bagful, so forget that 'cliffys tastes' stuff.

subject matter jurisdiction, 2, night.
this one is soooo good.

'and we go driving,
driving into the night,'

'She says baby if you wanna be wild
You got a lot to learn, close your eyes
Let them melt, let them fire, let them burn
'Cause in the darkness there will be hidden worlds that shine,
When I hold Candy close she makes those hidden worlds mine.

She has fancy clothes and diamond rings
She has men who give her anything she wants
But they don't see
That what she wants is me

Oh and I want her so
I'll never let her go, no no no
She knows that I'd give
All that I've got to give
All that I want, all that I live
To make Candy mine
Tonight.'

funniest thing aboot his shtick is that his original target audience, white working class youth, today have an almost completely opposite to his view on things. they're a force at the polls, and he ain't. period.
(insiders tip: brucie is hyperbolic aboot all things related to, umm, how do i say this nicely, ... oh, yeah- his stature. off the chain touchy.)

sooooo, no. don't like that tune posted either. i think it falls outside of his expiration date, late 70s methinks.
