Not a criticism of the poster, but the person who uploaded this to youtube. This isn't the Moody Blues, it's Jeff Wayne. Sounds like the Moodies and Justin is singing, but it's from War of the Worlds.

It is the SPRINGTIME of my loving
The second season I am to know

You are the sunlight in my growing
So little warmth I've felt before
It isn't hard to feel me glowing
I watched the fire that grew so low

It is the summer of my smiles
Flee from me Keepers of the Gloom
Speak to me only with your eyes
It is to you I give this tune
Ain't so hard to recognize, oh
These things are clear to all from time to time, ooh, oh oh

Talk
Talk, talk, talk, talk, hey!
I've felt the coldness of my winter
I never thought it would ever go
I cursed the gloom that set upon us, 'pon us, 'pon us
But I know that I love you so, oh oh
But I know that I love you so

i was in Alyeska (lit. 'great land') once, and i asked an inuit (they of a lot of words for 'snow') what's their words for 'winter,' cuz in my language, one of them is 'canada.'
she said 'ukiuq,' which sounds sort of similar to 'canuck' for my ears, a word describing a resident of canada in my language.
now, the experts like to say that the word canada comes from around here ('kanata' - st lawrence iroquoian word for 'village'), but i ain't buying it.

'and do i look like a frostbitten hosehead?'
'well, maple syrup and snow is their exports.'
absolute proof.
my ears always support my opinions. if they didn't, id get some new ones.

This song covers the whole year. Another melancholy song. Seems to be that kind of week for me.
'Another melancholy song. Seems to be that kind of week for me.'
notchu. almost everyone, and, every year at this time.
after a time, i just don't understand why this isn't more commonly understood. mebbe it's senility about last time by all ages, or mebbe it's just too much time spent indoors, disconnected from the natural rhythm and rhyme of life.
summer crescendos into the dog days, and folks just kind of laze along, no thoughts of tomorrow, then, the clock turns to september, and the pace starts to pick up. schools open, etc. after a few weeks, everyone feels it, and start to think and physiologically feel, 'uh, oh. bye bye sun.' distant thunder- slowing metabolism, thickening blood, an all that. by october, most folks make peace with el sol dropping like a stone, 3 minutes per day. 90 by the end -happy freakout (halloween)!

'Masquerading as a man with a reason
My charade is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man
Well, it surely means that I don't know'

just carry on.

Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain... we can be like they are'

today is a great day for the subject of 'attitude.'
it's pouring here, like biblical cats and dogs raining. streams flooded, branches coming down, the whole shebang.
some, of short memory, will bemoan 'oh, woe is me. i can't run my game!'
those of long memory on drought, are like 'coolaroni! finally the rains have come back!' it was getting kind of ridiculous, that no rain thing.
and, i personally had to be somewhere i didn't want to be around now,
and given my weak driving in the mess game, i ain't going. no way, no how. working on my cortisol game, an all that, whatever the outcome, which is just usually more yelling at me.
twas ever thus.

i win! cuz, with two, you get eggroll. tasty.
uh, oh, forgot the tune. this one works, sort of, topicwise.

coming soon, that most brutal of 'seasons,' especially if you're a big boat mariner. or a little boat mariner. the 'perfect storm' came just at the beginning edge of
'When the skies of November turn gloomy'

'Does anyone know where the love of God goes
When the waves turn the minutes to hours?

brutal. bru-tahl. no wonder the bears, and others, cancel all that, and just head off to snoozetime.

1st day of fall today. first real storm in a long time. funny how that sun stuff works.
