This isn't fake. ADB isn't Goodman/Rothstein-level take it to the bank, but they know a lot of folks. This story also isn't like Jacobs's "it's getting close", this is them saying Hurley will be named coach.

ADB is likely more in touch with sources inside the UConn AD who aren't 100% positive rock solid sources that a print journalist/Rothstein-type can roll with publicly. Those folks may have the same info but are waiting for the golden source to confirm.

No. No one has written anything saying "UConn is expected to name Hurley coach". Everyone said some form of "UConn is closing in on a deal with Hurley." Big difference.
