Some cool jazz for your warm summer morning, husky style

When I was at UConn, many years ago, I used to chill out to the sounds of Charlie Byrd's guitar. Believe it or not, Bossa Nova was new back then.

 
This has always been my favorite from Weather Report. I first heard it back in the day in the old field house played by the Pep Band during basketball games in the 60's

Ran across this gem while going through Chuck Mangione tunes. He was big when I was at WVU and put on a great live show. His trumpet playing with Marylin McCoo's vocals are awesome.

Oh yea, the Crusaders. This one reminds me of summer days when I lived along the Front Range in Colorado. KTCL in Ft Collins was very partial to the Crusaders:


I love Street Life by them.
 
Very underrated song featuring Angela Charles from Baltimore. Eight Octave voice like Minny Ripperton.
