While nothing exactly replaces UConn's lost weekend, you might want to note that tomorrow (Friday) at 12:30 the US Women's National Soccer team toes off with the Netherlands on ESPN2. These were the finalists in the last World Cup in France, a game the US won by 2 nil (but really wasn't that close). Enjoy.

Final 71-69 Avenida over Valencia. Tiffany 14 pts/9 rebs. Lou 10 pts/4 rebs. Lou came big in the 4th and OT, some big defensive plays and got beat up pretty bad and was obviously in some pain at the end.

Took a shot to the back of her head at start of OT but recovered nicely. Sweet 3pt shot that just missed beating the shot clock in OT. Looks good but still seems to willing to stay on the perimeter.

Lou has had 12 games playing for Avenida. I have watched everyone so far. Usually on the CanaFEB.TV website but on occasion on twitter. I check FEB first but Perfumerias Avenida will also provide a link to the game on their website, or shortly before the game will be a tweet with the link.

The Avenida website has calendar with games and times. The times are Salamanca local. There is a six hour difference from EST. Thus an 8:00p game is on at 2:00p EST. The next game is EuroLeague in Turkey on Dec 1st. The game won't be FEB TV so hopefully the Avenida twitter will provide a link to the game.

Avenida plays a UConn style offense (team), lot of movement and passing. Not so much "willing" as the offense is designed that way. Lou jumps center. Does a lot of screening at the top of the key and mixes it up underneath quite a bit, plays very aggressively. Avenida has some really good 3 pt shooters so the perimeter offense is a good offense to run. Looks to be really happy with the team play.
